does anyone knows the best ice mining ship for solo players?
Take a look at the Endurance.
Yield just below barges, but makes up for it by being able to tank null sec ice belt rats indefinitely, fast safe travel, ability to cloak up when hostile players enter system and a big ore hold.
If you’re mining in HS instead of dangerous space and do not move a lot, I guess the Retriever may be a better option though.

Swap the Acolytes for whatever light drones are best against the rats in your region.
And for a cheaper version you can use a restrained med shield extender and t1 rigs instead.

If you’re ice mining in highsec be sure to ask the others there if you can join their fleet for boosts. Unless they’re afk most ice miners are pretty nice and will invite.

I’d put a salvager on the empty high slot.
That’s a possibility, I think I used a salvager in my high slot as well, but it’s optional and not needed for ice mining so I left it out.
