Ice Harvesting Worth It? (Re-Written)

I did a major rework of this post if you read the earlier version it appears I had A LOT of bad information. So I have new Ice mining questions:

  1. Can you only use Ice Mining Lasers on an endurance? Ice Harvesters will not fit?

  2. Have you guys had any luck Ice Mining over Ore Mining? Is Ice more profitable?

  3. Do mining drones work on ice, or there aren’t any drones for frigate ice mining?

Yes, when I saw that on the harvester drones, it sparked my question about mining drones working with ice. They don’t say ore mining drones, just mining so i figured there’s a chance they’d work with ice too. And with an endurance having a drone bay and having ice mining bonuses it also got me thinking that there should be a drones for mining ice.

I guess i can go test it.

Yes, only mining Lasers, no harvester.

2. Have you guys had any luck Ice Mining over Ore Mining? Is Ice more profitable?
I do Ice mining for fuel production. I do both, less for profit but for building and production.

3. Do mining drones work on ice, or there aren’t any drones for frigate ice mining?
As already linked, only Ice mining drones can mine ice. One Ice mining drone is as big as 10 ore mining drones, so you don’t have to buy five of them for the start.
