Why is it not possible to read billboards near stargates? The option to do so is greyed out and when I hover over it, it says “No reason given”.

i think players should be able to upload videos, it would not be difficult to moderate them…
you could even write a bit of coding to do it for yourself…

They serve for advertising, that’s ok in my book, but they should advertise more than CCP crap, capsuleers should be able to rent a billboard for a week/month, otherwise they’re only window dressing… We should still be allowed to blow them up for a small standing loss.

We did have the ability to “win” advertising space, but then it took forever to get changed and by the time that happened, the corp(s) that had put the advert up had dissolved.
Just another in the long line of “nice idea, implemented badly” features in EVE.

CCP must have changed something in the code because in the past you could easily read whatever was on the Billboard:

So it must have been a feature that they removed but forgot to remove the corresponding UI element.
