Blackout and Suggested Changes

The recent changes to null sec, making it function similar to worm hole space, has placed a great strain on many small corporations, specifically industrial corps with a limited player base. As such, many regular eve players have started to seek entertainment elsewhere. It is hard enough dealing with cloaking campers and the occasional dread/titan red spawn, but to now not know who is in your system or available to assist in times of trouble, just compounds the issue.
If CCP plans on making null sec permanently like worm hole space, then at least expand the functionality to have gas anoms spawn in random null sec systems, not just the one in Catch and the like. Provide us the ability to make a descent profit, based upon the expanded risk we must take.
Or you could open a new section of space, with a rating of -1.5 to -2.0, with the blackout permanent, where PVP based corporation can chose to move, taking higher risks, but with higher rewards.
Other change suggestions include: add a Salvage Drone II blueprint, drop access to rarer blueprints, expand PI capabilities to harvest from more than 6 planets, increase the yield rate on mining devices (non Rorqual) to keep up with the demand for ships, based upon the increased lose rates, eliminate high sec asteroid types from spawned belts (Moon Belts / Small / Medium, Large, Enormous and Collosel), increase the M3 amounts contained with each null sec asteroid, double the mining speed for Mercoxit, return to the game deployable mines, and return to the game the Cockroach class ships.

  1. Blackout does not make Null like WH space, not even close.
  2. There was no need for yet another thread on the same topic
  3. If you do not like the risk level, move. Lo-sec and Hi-sec still have Local.
  4. Null still needs to have the massive amount of rewards reduced so they support less people per system.

Blackout was good change…
But it came too late!

It is a good change.

Problem is CCP spent over a decade listening to null and increasing the rewards years on year to the point that it became almost pointless to do anything in any other part of the game.

To the point that now their are so few people buying plexes with cash that the price has sky rocketed.

I personally start to think that EVE needs total remake.
There is way too many things that’s needed to be changed.
I think today, 2019 the game should be more activity based rather than timer, which EVE is 95%

War decks - Pointless

Exploration - Exploring nothing new! (Ratting)

Ratting - Grinding

Mining - Time wasting… Wait till ore hold is full.

PVP - Tackle, range, wait… Most likely numbers matter, nothing else!

Trading - Make sure ur faster than market Pots.

I still feel that EvE is great space game and it really does have potential but CCP needs to be quick and doing those small updates very slowly will kill the last patience on players that still care.

How do you think that would work?

How would it change the balance of power that currently exists; power that while projected in Eve is almost entirely based on out of game networks and infrastructure that CCP can’t touch.

There is way too many things that’s needed to be changed.
I think today, 2019 the game should be more activity based rather than timer, which EVE is 95%

Examples please, just saying it is entirely worthless. If you’re referring to the progression system of some other games where you only progress while you grind then no thanks, some of us came here to get away from that shite.

War decks - Pointless

Wardecs exist because hisec exists, if wardecs are pointless, so is hisec. Furthermore you have to opt in to be eligible for wardecs to happen to you…

Exploration - Exploring nothing new! (Ratting)

Ratting - Grinding

This is common to most games, welcome to the wonderful world of games requiring you to do tasks that you may not like in order to enrich yourself.

Mining - Time wasting… Wait till ore hold is full.

Mining can be passive or active, the former is boring as hell, the latter not so much.

PVP - Tackle, range, wait… Most likely numbers matter, nothing else!

What you don’t see happening in PvP is the stuff that makes it interesting; you only witness the end result, you don’t see everything that leads up to it.

Trading - Make sure ur faster than market Pots.

There’s no need to be faster, you just have to be better. Bots are programmed, the human mind on the other hand is capable of finding holes in the programming and exploiting it, it’s also capable of finding stuff and places to trade that aren’t plagued by alleged market bots.

I still feel that EvE is great space game

It is.

and it really does have potential but CCP needs to be quick and doing those small updates

Not everybody thinks that your decidedly unoriginal suggestions will benefit the game

very slowly will kill the last patience on players that still care.

That’s just it, you don’t care for the game, you care what’s good for you.

Congrats Jonah!
Good salt right there :+1:
When EVE has one active player left… I know who it is!
