Booby trapping

hey,

so basically the idea/question is can you booby trap your drone so if you accidentally warp out or something, and someone comes by to swoop it up they get a cargo full of explody drone? if there isnt a way to do it the devs should come up with a way, but also make a way to defeat it in balance. i dunno, just a thought, feedback is appreciated.

Uhh. What purpose would it serve? Better add like a new gun type or balancing than explosive drones.

Sure. But the downside is sometimes they malfunction and they explode for no reason inside your ship, and you lose your ship.

They also malfunction and start shooting you sometimes, and you cant deactivate or deploy other drones or abandon.

Why not just have suicide drones that fly in and deal empire-specific damage in a nice “size appropriate” AOE splash?

Granted, good luck getting one off without it fully exploding by some interceptor.
