Boost Application of Larger Missiles to 50mn - 100mn Cruiser Setups

hi there o7

as such i want to complain bout the application issue i had on a ikitursa gang with 50mn drives. (i got killed by around 10 ikitursas and could not apply any dmg even with a tp and a precision script)

the issue is:

-a 50mn or 100mn Ikitursa can kill a marauderer if it generates around 400-500 EHP/s this can be done alone or in a squad.

so i simulated the 100mn ikitursa cruiser and i get 300 dps on it with synth crash tp and gd precision script

heres the zkill i got from the iki gang:

i dont see how the mecha works when u can outperform a 3b marauderer with a tech2 cruiser

it doesent makes sense similar to a unkillable 10mn wolf or something the hit math generates targets that cant be killed with a weaponsystem matched to a ship even if i optimise its application.

Even if i would drop necessary defense mods to install even more application and eat a strong crash (wich eventualy would kill me due the shield nerv) even then the application sucks

my goal: doin solo pvp with a marauderer

my issue: its impossible to fight tech2 cruisers with 100mn and high res profile +repps over 500 ehp/s

Why not use a stasis web? i cant use a stasi web becus i not have space for it and mid range cruisers can just perform outside the 20km abyss web range i have at max

You’re upset your 2.7b ship couldn’t solo twelve 0.9b ships?

Because missiles suck for PvP, and cruise missiles are probably the worst out of all of them.

Explosion velocity is the missile equivalent of tracking speed, only it’s possible to get “under your guns” at any range if they’re fast enough. You weren’t applying damage because they were flying faster than the explosions of your missiles.

Also, they’re called Heavy ASSAULT Cruisers for a reason. They’re tanky enough to survive glancing shots and the occasional crit of large weapons while still having respectable firepower. Almost like they’re designed to take out battleships in a group.

no? im upset bout that 1 ikitursa can kill a marauderer no madder what fit it has

precision cruise missiles are the ,best” class of missiles in a golem as precision cruise missiles have the highest even higher precision as torpedos…… still a 100mn ikitursa just says nope to it

the BIS for a Golem is still the bottom of the barrel for PvP weapons, unless you’re shooting stuff that’s big and slow. The Golem is the King of PvE, but generally trash for PvP.

But you didn’t get killed by one Ikitursa, you got killed by a horde of them.

If you do want to solo fight Ikis, I’d suggest loading a Damavik in your escape bay.

In EVE online the smaller ships are spoiled for some reason. For example as you mention it seems an Ikitursa can tank a marauder and has enough dps to kill it.

I also wonder how ikitursas get this far into hostile territory. Its like they are double spoiled.

offtopic: if anyone is interested in stopping FRT the best way is to increase the value of null sec. FRT are not bad at the game but part of the reason they have so many systems is because noone else wants them. Peace.

Yes, smaller ships are spoiled in Eve. Fleet battles in Eve used to be decided by who could bring the most Apocs before CCP made big ships feel like big ships moving around. Even before that change, if you were moving faster than the battleship’s tracking speed or explosion velocity, you weren’t getting hit.

If you’re in a ship fit for PvE, almost any PvP fit is going to shred you. Most PvE fits are designed around the incoming damage coming in waves, having enough reps to weather the peaks of each wave and recovering in the troughs as you clear the rats. The Ikitursa, really all the Triglavian ships, seems specifically designed to be the opposite that, there is no trough in damage for the PvE ship to recover in.

Clearly a skill issue and critical misunderstanding of the game, its systems, different areas of space and the mechanics involved.

Every ship fit has its purpose, area and scenario in which it excels, others in which it falls apart and possibly a few in between. It’s your job as its creator and pilot to know which those are and know your hard counters. Throwing money at the problem works only to a certain degree but requires good understanding of the game’s mechanics.

You’re using cruise missiles and complaining they don’t hit targets they were never meant to, then ask for a game rebalance in your favour. Make that make sense.

You want to be able to safely roam and harvest the goods of nullsec as a multi-billion ISK solo piñata. That’s never going to happen. Not in a Marauder and certainly not in a Dread, Carrier or a Titan. You will go down. Three things will keep you safe - moving without being seen, being quick to slip away when you do get detected and last but not least - not being worth the time and effort to pin down and destroy.

I can probably solo that Golem in my Proteus.
