Bring Back Legacy Faction Outposts Through LP Stores

Hi everyone,

I had an idea I wanted to share. It’s about the old player-owned nullsec outposts, which were converted into unique faction citadels. From what I understand, once one of these faction citadels is destroyed, that’s it — it’s gone forever and cannot be replaced. That feels like a real shame, considering they’re such a cool part of EVE’s history.

My suggestion is to allow us to acquire new copies of these faction citadels by purchasing blueprints for them through the Faction Warfare LP stores. This way:

  • The legacy designs won’t disappear from the game over time.

  • Players would have a meaningful, lore-friendly way of bringing them back.

  • Each militia could build bases in structures that match their chosen faction, giving more identity to FW groups.

  • It adds extra value to Faction Warfare and its LP system.

  • Industrialists would get another exciting blueprint to work with.

  • It would bring more visual variety to space — not just the same citadel skins everywhere.

  • CCP could even expand the system further with pirate faction citadels, offering bonuses for combat, defense.

On top of that, it could be great if CCP also extended the idea to smaller citadels like Astrahus variants, so we could see more faction-themed structures across all sizes, not just the legacy outpost models.

I think this could keep the legacy citadel designs alive, while still respecting their rarity and history — since players would need to invest in LP, ISK, and production to bring them back.

What do you all think? Would you like to see the old outposts return as a blueprint option, or do you prefer them staying as limited-edition structures?

I’d like to see more variety of Upwell structures and these faction variants look great. I’ve always liked their look while I was able to live out of a few of these structures while they were stations still.

It would be a shame if these structures eventually disappeared or at best became a very rare sight.

Yes, add them to LP stores.

I agree mostly, but like, why in the exploration section?
