Single multi-boxer Alpha gankers are OUT OF CONTROL!

Boring nonsense topic.
Go away, you don’t care about EVE being FUN, rather being BORING? Go make a BORING thread
yourself if so. The Video linked has a chat filled with nonsensical preposterous comments about a FIT, when they are all missing the underneath threat that made such post possible…
SAFETY FIRST?
Why do you give everything for granted???
FYI, Covops T2 BS have been largely used in Vanguard Fleets, they either don’t have any 100% plate bonuses, and their tank is even more ridiculous of that of Marauders.
People started using Marauders in Vanguard fleets the moment 100% plate bonuses made them more viable alternatives than T2 Pirate ships.
Vanguard fleets are back to be using T2 pirate ships again.
Covops T2 Ships too could benefit of a little more love for them, and give them a 100% plate bonuses. The market would revitalize around these hulls as more demand from Vanguard Fleets
will recognize the are fit enough for combat, where a single ship MUST be able to withstand 40K+ Volleys when targeted, and most Covops T2 ships barely make it past 40k EHP when fully fitted for such events.
There’s multiple scenarios were they are being used anyway, by competent players…
(250K EHP Armor-Hull buffed Covops is still very good, but he complains DMG is way too low ,
with DMG modules, and only shields… 50k EHP is what you get… A Cruiser has more…
SAFETY FIRST FOREVER!!!
250 Mil per hour is enough FUN??? Problem is that with Bastion on, it’s got the same EHP as the Navy ISSUE Tempest— and SHOULD BE at least 250k-300k EHP— just so you know… to feel a bit SAFER…
Mission was over in about 8 mins, 10 more mins are about recycling the wrecks, which brought in a good 15Mil of loot. Other 10Mil from Mission kills and Agents.
I guess. I’m not a fan of the “animated” style of YouTube videos. The ones I subscribe to are more low-key. Oz is a great example of a style I more prefer.
And anyway, this THREAD falls in the category that gankers in general are having it way too Easy.
Economy hasn’t collapsed YET, but FUNDS are LIMITED in this share of SPACE—
AKA—
IF you are RICH, You don’t CARE about the 99.999%, ONE DAY YOU’LL WAJE UP AND BE COMPLETELY ALONE. GONE will the 99.999%. SO Concessions, and meet the demands of those
SUFFERING works… AND THIS IS WHY THIS THREAD IS IMPORTANT!
NAME one reason why it was ok to give gankers back the hedge, just ONE reason.
I’m listening.
200k EHP MArauder VS medium sized gankers = SURE GANKERS WIN
500-700k EHP Marauders VS equal medium sized GANK FLEET = 50/50 chances to survive
-
The market would be MORE active with reinforced Marauders, as they would feel safer to invest in expansive items, rme missions, consume MORE of Everything = GOOD FOR THE ECONOMY.
SCARCITY? NO GOOD! BORING!
PS> They still can get ganked, the gankers needs just a bit more CONTROL!!!
EVE will find a way to equalize itself anyway.
My Vid shows the Tempest Fleet Issue Hull, with 200K EHP, and the VARGUR, with also 200K EHP.
Problem is, the Vargur should be 400k EHP, bc one Hull costs 800Mil, the other 4Bil…
Idk if you saw mine. Who is Ozbtw___??
Doesn’t matter. The problem is understanding.
You only look at the issue from your own extremely narrow perspective. And you are paranoidal afraid of Gankers, which is hilarious. Ganking is a total non problem. Thus Marauder design can completely ignore any exaggerated ‘problems’ with ganking. Because there are none.
I Do have a PHD in Economics and Social behaviour, I have a very WIDE understanding that
even the smallest of thing can derange an entire economy… you fail greatly at this trial…
And haven’t answered, just “avoided” my question.
Acting like a propaganda journalist, pointing the part of the script useful to your agenda, and ignoring the surrounding ruins, facts, action&reactions, that must be taken in some kind of context
but can work when “isloated”… exactly as you do…

Doesn’t help you that much I suppose. Like 99% of all statements and assumptions and ‘logic’ related to EVE that I have read from you on these forums simply show a total lack of knowledge or basic understanding of gameplay mechanics. PHD my ass.
Marauders are very strong designed and they needed all the previous nerfs because they were totally OP opressive before. I’d even say they are still a bit too strong (range projection).
And ‘ganking’ plays absolutely ZERO role in their balance, because it doesn’t need to. Because ganking simply is a you problem. Don’t act stupid, don’t get ganked. Simple as that.
You switched to a TV presentator now?
Still bearing the flag of truth at all costs?
Still waiving the ganking thing as everything rotates around it?
NO. It does not play ZERO role. It plays a small, but more than ZERO. Percentage.
In the overall picture you still refrain to compile for your own sanity.
But I guess I must now thank you that no-one else is willing to partecipate in the talk
as you have alienated 9.99% of the audience.
Why are you talking about gankers?
This is a topic about Marauders and their PvP balance.
The extremely narrow niche of PvP of ‘gankers versus Marauders’ which only applies to a subset of space and a subset of players is a mere afterthought and not really relevant for how Marauders perform in all other PvP.
I understand that from the perspective of a player engaging in all possible PvP-evading strategies like a war-immune corp in high security space with permanent safeties green it may seem like ganking PvP is all the relevant PvP in the game, but the fact is that PvP in this game is much broader than that. And Marauders were oppressively strong in the broader game.
For HS Marauding you could do a T2 fit and/or stay away from busy places.
There’s no need to make game-breaking changes buffing Marauders to be a big issue again everywhere else in the game just because you don’t know how to deal with gankers.
Do you really need anything more than a T2 Marauder to deal with any PvE content in HS? Even a T2 Marauder sounds like overkill already.
The marauder are too convoluted. The best solution is to make the Bastion Module allow permanent overheating of modules and nothing else. It will be a nerf to the marauder tank and dps, but it will always be more powerful than its T1 / BlackOps equivalent + It gains a significant mobility advantage since prop mods can be overheated permanently. Essentially this design change will turn the Marauder into something that resembles actual Marauding ![]()
And it can get its plate bonuses back with this change without becoming OP
If Marauders are too convoluted for you, then why not just don’t fly them?
Leave them for those of us who find them good.
Allright, keep the marauder as is. But then introduce a new class of ships based on the BS T1 hulls that dont have T2 yet. For example the Hyperion, Rokh, Maelstrom and Abaddon. Its a T2 ship and its design revolves around permanent overheating of modules. Fits the sweet spot between T1 BS and Marauder and they have the plate bonuses.
I made one question in the beginning of the post:
MAKE ONE ARGUMENT WHY MARAUDERS should not have MORE TANK that their T1 counterparts.
You want to answer this question or just fill the background noise before commercials cut it off, and you can get revenue?
I’m not playing this game for the revenue, but for FUN!!!
Command T2 BS based on Rock hull would be awesome.
Nice idea bdk eve.
The Nestor is basically a T1 Logi BS, I would love to see a Command Nestor, with T2 like- resistance profiles… All SOE line (and EDENCOM) are like rare beasts, very hard to put into a category also.
The Economics behind those ships is all through the roof and I don’t think it’s demand driven…
But I see the opportunity here to revitilize the market, and the interest, around those hulls.
