I was wondering if say I had a porpoise and wanted to use boosts to boost a retriever. Could I leave my ship in space with modules active and the hangars and use my retriever, or do I need to be in the ship to use the modules?
Must be in ship. Leaving the ship would be abandoning it, and leaving it open for someone to steal it.

Also, I have left a ship before, the modules turn off because the capsuleers skills are the only things keeping the modules running so it would be pointless to leave a ship for mining (tried before). If you want to do something to use a retriever and a porpoise you could try your luck with an alt…
