So say I have a really expensive loot from overall data/relic site hacking for the past week or so like I’m talking about over 1.1B worth of loot here. How do contracts with cargo carriers work with to safely pay them to haul the cargo from the Amarr capital to Jita? I have trust issues with people on Eve now with what happened to me about two years ago on my main character so I guess I would also like to know who are the best corporations or haulers that I can trust to pay to haul my valuable loot to Jita.
Thanks in advance!
Jump in the hauling channel, use their appraisal tool, add a 15-20% on top for the collateral and pay what you’re willing to make the hauling faster.
Especially for Hi/Low, haulers in there are pretty reliable.
If you plan to make ISK hauling, beware of scams. The most common scam is usually something paying a lot more than 20% of the collateral ( 100 million reward / 400 million collateral ) but then when you look at the load size it will be bigger than any hauler can carry. Accepting the contract ropes you into hauling that load packaged. Opening the package makes you fail the contract. Congrats, you bought garbage for 400 million ISK.
As the client, you should break the cargo down into 20,000 mass cubed. This will allow a beefy Tayra or Bestower to haul your goods. If you want fitted ships hauled, you will be looking for – a person you can really trust – someone who owns a Bowhead hauler. It is the only ship that hauls ships without busting your rigs.

As a noob, I recently used PushX (https://www.pushx.net/index.php) to haul around 1 B ISK worth of stuff from Dodixie to Jita and it only cost me 24 M. It was a doddle and I’d highly recommend both them and the courier contract process.
The other team I nearly used were the Frogs (Red Frog appear to do high-sec, other colours for other space) but they were more expensive and slower so the first attempt went to PushX and I have zero complaints.
In my view - and speaking as a noob! - it’s “totally, bulletproof safe”*, in that the in-game courier contract system is used.
I don’t know the precise mechanism for contract completion but I assume that in broad terms, if they accept the contract and then fail to deliver ALL of it by the required time, then they forfeit the collateral payment and get to keep your goods. If they complete the delivery, they get your payment. This all sounds very plausible but I may have hallucinated some of it ![]()
edited to add: my haul had some salvage (tiny volume, high value) and ore/gas (huge volume) but the whole lot fitted into a 62,500 m^3 DST.
*If I’m wrong about this bit, I’m sure others will correct me ![]()
Ah Push it!
