That’s fair, although I would guess that they’re somewhat of a minority amongst their brethern; I could be wrong and it maybe that most gankers use tags.
For my part I would prefer that the tags only applied to the security status from lowsec activities.
A reasonable preference, how it would affect the meta I have no idea. It would involve finding a way to discern between losec and hisec activities and act upon it; it may well involve rewriting how crimewatch works and the underlying mechanics that power it.
You are ignoring those that keep using the tags, I come across certain CODE gankers that do this too.
Not per se, I have no doubt that some use tags, I just don’t think that there’s enough of them to be important.
The issue is that they most likely won’t do it without tags, though the suspect part of it does enable them to warp down to gates from tethered structures, but makes it a lot more difficult for them to camp stations. I just wish NPC stations would have tethering too then it pushes things on gates which is a better balance at least within the current system that is.
Which is the tough part.
I think a better option for balance would be to remove this activity from stations by tethering being applied to NPC stations. At least on gates you can force them through and have people waiting on the other side.
People tend to be shy of going after suspect baiters, but without neutral RR it has opened up a bit more.
I think you misunderstood it sir. The problem is the opposite. There is no need to nerf ganking. We need to remove the annoying features like CONCORD not despawning that are discouraging more ganking.
I would say that majority of the gankers are using CONCORD tags. Not using concord tags is quite a specific to the CODE. and the CODE-related mass multibox fleet gankers.
Basically everyone else is fixing their sec status be it via tags or ratting.
Either to prevent being hunted by facpo and can camp gate/station, or to do other stuff with those characters like structure bashing or solo pvp. Or it is just to prevent mistakes happening when you multibox ganks alone. I lost so many ships on a gates because jump didn’t work or I forgot on that alt when something happened on my other accounts.
Being heavy criminal is certainly manageable but annoying to deal with. It means that if you get bumped by an asteroid when warping onto the miner you are screwed - if that wasn’t criminal character it would not be big deal as long as he realized the situation and slowboated. But even if you do this with a criminal, by the time he gets to optimal, facpo is there and kills/ecm you faster than you can apply required dps. I have been in a lot of similar situations.
Is trade hub nado ganking unhealthy? Even if it is, we need that destruction.
Also if you do that, blockade runners will be 100% immune to being killed in hs as long as the pilot is not autopiloting. That is certainly bad for the game.
As long as it is viable gameplay and not so annoying and tedious that no one will actually do it, it is a problem for drac and he has to lobby for nerfs.
Dude, Dracky posted yet another bit of incomprehensible drivel. I’m not exaggerating here. I could not discern any coherent meaning and the subject did not seem to pertain to anything I said. What else am I supposed to comment on? Am I supposed to come up with a logical counter-argument to something that doesn’t make any sense to begin with?
