Can we get a name purge of 10+ year old one and done trial accounts (and the like) with no activity?
interesting… thumbs up for ok to purging ooor the Emperor is saving the alts?
Comodus knows a good idea when he hears one and a purge of old useless names is the best idea I have ever read in my entire life.
Pretty obvious considering it includes a related quote, unless you have some wild imagination clouding your judgement.
yes, its obvious. So to the Gerard suggestion to suppress the alts in the forum arena, the emperor replies: no, let their lives be saved.
I agree with him.
Those are gameplay issues and implementation errors. Not a mere suggestion. What you’re describing is akin to comparing a bug report to a suggestion on new clothing items.
Okay. Objection noted for the Nth time. But again, you’ve given no reason why a name purge can’t or shouldn’t be implemented. Disagreeing with your position is not a rejection the very idea that you don’t like the idea.
I’m making a suggestion to the owners. If I had ownership, I would be making a demand. What about that is hard for you to grasp?
Perhaps it is just you.

Purging all forum alts from the forum would be a better choice, imo.
Have at it boss. You should make a suggestion thread about it. And you should start with how exactly you would determine what constitutes an alt on a forum vs a main character. Perhaps only allowing Omega to post would make more sense in regard to your objectives. Although with three character slots I don’t see how it would make much of a difference. Perhaps only allowing one character per account to join the forum. How many people have multiple paid accounts? I guess, in a way, “P2W” would come to the forum too.

Don’t blame @Gerard_Amatin. He thinks he has good ideas but actually he only has brainfarts.
Not to mention if they made weird rules that players couldn’t just bypass then they would just move over to reddit instead,

Except that their initial implementation and how things are now are completely different. Going from a 24/7 invuln timer to a few hours every 3 days is not fixing an implementation error. All these came from player suggestions and even CCP acknowledged that these were player suggestions. I can list more, but I stuck to the most recent.

It is an error on their part born from a lack of understanding in regard to their own game. They released gameplay mechanics that were negatively affecting how people experienced the game. That is a different thing entirely than QoL suggestions. That players are acting as game testers because CCP can’t be bothered to play and understand their own game does not detract from that fact.
Hi, @Shion_Ishii I don’t see why any of those old, unused acciunts couldn’t be purged. It’s ridiculous to keep accounts from 20 years ago still in the system.
I vote yes for your idea. Out with the old, in with the new.
