Can't multibox anymore and its not me

Hi

You broke something with multiboxing.

For some reason my entire system stutters repeatedly, screen goes back and reloads. Its rediculous and unplayable. Absolutely nothing has changed with my computer, I have up to date drivers and I submitted a bug report a week ago or so with no response.

No idea whats going on but I guess ill just cancel 3 of my 4 accounts since I can’t even run 2 at once anymore.

Thanks

Windows, Mac or Linux ?

Are the clients in (full screen) windowed mode?

Windows 11 and Fixed window with dual monitors.
Thanks for the quick responses! You guys rock

You might want to check or post in the Issues, Workarounds & Localization - EVE Online Forums thread, as this is where most people with technical issues exchange help.

People would need more information on what system, DX level, GPU etc. you’re running with before they could offer much help. In the meantime, if you haven’t already, try switching to DX 11. If you’re running Windows 11, that has caused problems for some people. Maybe try a Win10 compatibility mode or something.

Although your system hasn’t changed, it’s possible that an EVE update or Windows update or driver update has occurred that affected your gameplay. You’ll need to search various options and try some different things, it’s unlikely even support is going to have a quick answer for you.

If you google the issue you’ll find various threads like this one with things for you to try:

Best of luck with it!

Nvidia or AMD GPU? I recently had the problem that on system startup the AMD Adrenaline Software didn’t start and the GPU was shown as “Generic GPU” in the Device Manager.

I did use the AMD De-Installing (driver cleaning) tool, then deleted the GPU in the windows device manager. Restarted Windows, installed the AMD drivers+software clean and after reboot it all worked again.

could be the 24h2 windows update

Nvidia

Sounds a LOT like a refresh rate issue. The monitor I have supports Freesync (before freesync and gsync were finally standardized) I had to manually set the refresh to 99mhz to stop it from jittering or going black. The manufacturer finally after 5 years updated the monitor driver and I can set it to auto again and get up to 144mhz and everything is running fine. But it is something to check.

Thank you all for your responses
Lol as much as i would like to do that I am not buying a new computer. I was fine a month ago running 4 accounts with 0 issues at once.

so mine is set to 100 right now… going to try and figure out how to change it to 99, thank you

It’s not you - i’ve gone from 3 to 2 and now barely 1 account in the past 6 months - reducing resolution and graphics settings along the way. Nothing has changed on my end - this is all with the EVE client/servers.

Welcome @Lucian_Halvayne and @Avalon_Valaria to the forums,

Has anyone thought it might have something to do with them ( aka CPP ) improving the graphics? I have a new PC here (Oct. 24) but it is no “gaming PC” mine is also experienced recent lag, I suspect it is from them messing with the client system. What happened to, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it? This game is not what I would call graphically dependent.

This I learned from my husband being who he is and all, refresh rates can be seen using a fan or a camera. Old analog TV sets used this the most. However here is what you need to know about refresh rate of your game. If your game is sending 60 FPS you want the monitor to match it at 60hz.
@Mr_Epeen
Performance is dropping, if they want us to buy better PCs, then CCP needs to make this game 100% free to play and start selling us the computers.

Have fun!

Had very similar issue…and found it caused by the ‘In-game Overlay’ in Discord…which seems to now be set ‘on’ as default. Switching it off resolved the issues for me.

Refresh to 99 did not work but will try the overlay thing now, thank you Gloria

ugh that didnt work either. im at a complete loss

There has to be other people that are still experiencing this

Yes, there are. And you’ve already been told it’s probably Win11 update 24H2 that EVE doesn’t work well with. And/or DX12. And that you’ll need to provide more information than "“I have Win11” to fix it. People have had to ask you for each bit of additional info, it’s like pulling teeth.

Be less lazy about it or it won’t get fixed. Make a list of your OS, DX, Win11 version, graphics card and driver etc. and post it in the Tech Issues forum. And mention what other steps you’ve already tried for a fix. Or just do an actual google search for the problem and read what other people are saying about it:

Wouldn’t have posted here if i didnt scour google already there guy.
