Does anyone else have any issues with Windows PC performance after today’s update?
It seems to be killing memory / GPU which I did not experience last night.
Gaming seems ok, but any other apps, browers, You Tube, Twitch and video media seems to stutter when selecting the game window.
No changes on my PC before starting the game this afternoon after server reboot.
Multi Boxing Multiple Clients is dead as of this patch it seems.
Running multiple EvE clients on the same pc in Windowed Mode locks focus on the first client launched. Alt+Tab wont switch to the other clients and to get them to even allow mouse clicks I have to double click the window bar at the top for that specific client to gain focus.
Win 11 - all Notifications and Focus Assist are disabled.
This client behavior was confirmed by a corp mate and others in the alliance.
While in space, i left click mouse button and instead of rotating the camera, it creates an adjustable selecting box in window screen. Just started today
As far as I am aware not really performance issues, but what Brilok is describing seems to explain my issues.
Switching various clients seem to be almost not working at all, it wants to keep focus on current client. Only sometimes it finally - after spamming the other client thumbnail - it may switch, where the issues happen again. First I thought it was a gfx driver issue and/or eve-x
But I also noticed undocking a char, I cant ‘look around’ by clicking and dragging in space. The client rather wants me to select ‘things’ like Im browsing my inventory window to select items. Only after right clicking in space it finally catches the normal behavior.
My guess is the client doesnt seem to understand window context you’re in and forces the in station view or something.
Yes. The common theme seems to be we all ran the latest Win update and EvE patch.
I asked in fleet and not everyone is having this issue, but they all seem to be on Linux or Win 10. So it might be a Win 11 thing. Trying to find commonalities as I filed a CS/Tech Help ticket and the more info they have have I’m hoping the more likely they can address the issue.
Note: This doesn’t happen when running multiple WoW clients, Nor multiple apps of the same type (like 10 Word docs or Excel sheets open). Alt+Tabbing works seamlessly.
Even EvE-X Preview wont let me click on the preview boxes to select the different EvE clients. It just locks onto the 1 client until spamming / clicking the other game client windows to gain focus.
i’m having this as well as the client getting stuck in look at when i click on celestials on overview. i have to repeatedly reset the camera to stop it from simply drawing boxes in space
I am having all these exact issues. Tried uninstalling/reinstalling, clearing caches, restarting, updating graphics drivers, changing window mode and resolution, manually deleting all eve files, all to no avail. Only started today and only occurs with eve launcher/clients, other windows programs are unaffected.

Yeah this is super annoying and definitely corresponded with the windows update. I updated my nvidia drivers but that did not help. The only program that is affected is Eve.
The most reliable way I’ve found to force the focus to switch is by spam clicking 3-5 times before attempting to do anything in that client, including rotating the camera. After tabbing in, things work mostly fine but I have noticed the weird selection box or random camera spinning like the other people have mentioned in this thread.
Watch out when doing this. I double clicked spammed and my ship started going off teather, so if you’re not paying attention you might accidentally manually pilot your ship into an area you don’t want to go …. like the enemy blob.
Disclaimer: I have no idea what I’m actually doing but this worked for me.
Edit: It worked amazingly with 2 clients. 3 brought back the issue so maybe this was just luck.
In regedit, open HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop
Find or create ForegroundLockTimeout and set its value to 0
Reboot
Its supposed to prevent programs from stealing focus and so far.. its working. For reference, I am still on Windows 10.
