Windows Performance issues since an EVE Online update on 2025.11.11

Just had a buddy message me that discord overlay has been causing issues. Disabled the overlay and tentatively seems to have fixed the issue.

EDIT - This definitely fixed the issue for me.

Same!!! Just did some basic testing on multiple eve clients and disabling Discord overlay (I just turned the whole thing off) and now my clients dont fight for focus.
Clicking on a window now gives it focus and activates the UI in game.
Hero award to you.

What they said above. Still happening after DT today

Disable Discord overlay - that’s the work around.
Discord → Settings Gear Icon → Scroll Down → Look for Overlay and uncheck this so it’s off

Correct. I just disabled the overlay for Eve only and it worked. I didn’t have to completely turn off the overlay. I was going crazy until I found these threads. Thumbs up on this one, community.

True, worked for me. Thanks.

Hi all.

Thanks for contibuting to the overylay issue too.

I did not have discord running when I was investigating the performance troubleshooting.
The fix was applied nonetheless.

However, I am still trying to figure out how it could have affected performance since
the update before the catelyst expansion.

Adjusting the framerates from whatever it was to 100 fps have brought some improvements
to my performance issues.

Now after the catalyst expansing update, I had to drop it to 75 fps and enable FSR 1.0.

This happens when running 1 client or 6 clients.

Anyhow.
Have a great game!

great, thanks! Would never thought its Discord, rolled back Nvidia driver update, which didnt help obviously

Ive had the select box for ages now, I thought it was my mouse
