Capsuleer agression without log entry

Which module aggression or PVP interactions cause a red lock bracket, capsuleer log-off timer but don’t create a Log and Messages entry?

All EWar modules do this - web, ECM, dampener, weapon disruptor, painter

Interesting. I have to check that. You would see an ewar icon above the HUD, though, which I didn’t see. Damn me for not taking a screenshot. -.-

ECM only creates any entry when it successfully jams you.

This is just great. Combat interactions that impact the combat tangibly and there’re no log entries. Absolutely fantastic.

Doesn’t the command mining bursts cause a log off timer as well or just won’t let you dock?

Not sure but if then only on the booster, not the boosted.

Upon activation of a Command Burst module you will get a weapon timer for 60 seconds (equal to the module’s 60 second cycle time)

While this timer is active you cannot jump, dock, use warp gates, or eject from, store, refit, or switch ships. You also cannot be tethered by Upwell Structures such as Citadels or Engineering Complexes as long as you have a weapon timer.

a player testing NPC ecm noted logs contain jam attempts, as well as successful jams. *edit this was many years ago, and i can’t find any logs containing NPC effects. i did test ECM at range, and verified that failed ECM jams at extreme range (past optimal+falloff) produced no notification on HUD, and no entry in game logs. the target did see red-box on the attacker, and get a logoff timer, fitting the situation you described.
