It’s been difficult to find any clear information on whether the critical hit mechanic in mining applies to mining drones.
In most mining fleets, the booster ship is only contributing yield through drones. That means the booster is expected to run new charges and provide boosts for a mechanic that seems to give zero benefit to the booster themselves. This feels a bit strange.
EVE is a pretty cutthroat place, so adding extra expenses to a booster while giving them no return on that investment feels very un-EVE-like. It would be helpful to get clarification on whether mining drones actually receive critical hit benefits, or if this is an oversight.
