I think its the leash, cats dont really like to have them or being walked like dogs. My sister usually just went where cat wanted, and it looked like cat was walking her, but its the best solution. Cat will not behave like a dog accompanying his owner. For cat you are not an owner or leader but a creature he lives with. Cat dont feel any obligation for doing anything, he can do it himself, he can go outside to hunt and would survive on his own without human. Even kittens are fierce creatures.
Cat explores world on its own.

It was a clip from a video recorded while we were out for a walk the other day.
/Had to think about that moment and I believe he was asking to go back home so yes meowing at me to let me know that he is out of his comfort zone of being inside.

Aha :grinning, when my cat was alive i tried the harness thing. And first it was “cool toy”, but it ended in harsh language on her end and band aids for me…
