This thread is dedicated to keeping track of the things ccp tries to sneak by the players, with out telling them. For example, patch notes not including changes, and the ever so popular “hammer, to silence the opposition”.
For example, the recent nerf to escalation drops, and changes to triglavians space buff which were excluded from patch notes.

Changes to drop rates are pretty much never disclosed as standard to prevent people from just aiming for what drops the best, there is nothing “shady” about that in the least
That is opinion, and its not common practice in the industry to exclude those things from the patch notes, though its probably server side anyways, the point is not just about drop rates, its also about buffs, and hiding things from players.
When is anything concerning EVE or CCP common practice. Sometimes you have to stand out from the crowd which is what EVE does. If you, as a noob really think you can make CCP change the game, then why not apply to work there??
