CCP Falcon! o7

Last time I saw this was on youtube…

Thanks!

How come the now ex-community manager couldn’t be arsed to say cheerio or make a comment here on the official forums?

He didn’t on reddit either.
He’s probably heartbroken?
Maybe he knew it’d create a lot of fuzz if he did it directly?

I don’t know.
I tend to believe it hurts him.

According to his reddits posts he didn’t even have a job in outlook,
so the whole situation is rather weird.

prehaps he didn’t leave on good terms :eyes:

Either way, it not being officially stated (ie, on this forum by CCP) is terrible and possibly childish. He deserves better, we deserve better.

He didn’t need to go into specifics about why he was leaving but he could have shown a little bit of common courtesy and said good-bye to the Eve community, especially since he was the Community Manager.

In my opinion that’s the least he could have done. The fact that he didn’t do it tells me he never really gave a damn about the job or this community. Explains why most of his posting was on Reddit instead of here in the Official Eve Online Forums.

Contrasting Falcon’s leaving CCP and the lack of forum/internet posting and announcements with what we saw with Guard and Seagull leaving which had numerous postings and responses, I suspect our last community manager left on a much more emotional and less planned schedule than the prior ones.

…or it could be just the way things are handled at CCP now.

I’m pretty indifferent, to be honest. Though maybe now I can get someone without a personal hate-on to restore some of my perma-banned characters.

Everything I’ve seen points to him not leaving by choice. The biggest red flag was, shortly before his sudden departure when he said he wasn’t going to be at Vegas, he flat out said he wasn’t leaving CCP. If it was planned, he had nothing to gain by straight up lying, he would have just stayed silent like he did on anything else he didn’t want to comment on.

Nearly 40 posts in the EVE subreddit and not one here. Maybe he was fired before he had a chance. I notice he didn’t say why he left. Oh well.

I agree, Perhaps this shows that Falcon and CCP/PA didn’t part on good terms which is quite sad.

It can be difficult to understand the way some people do things, In my experience I have seen things go wrong for people because they care too much about something. I get the sense that Falcon was enthusiastic about Eve. Also it can be emotional leaving the people you’ve worked with, especially if you are forced out.

I’m sure many of us know how this goes because we have most likely been through similar situations ourselves.

Some people get fussed over with a massive leaving do and speeches when they leave a job and some people prefer to leave quietly without saying anything. This does give an insight into what goes on behind closed doors.

You have removed my post where I calmly and without profanity expressed how I longed to imagine eve without CCP falcon and that his booting was way overdue.

What the hell is wrong with that?

If you have an issue with the way moderation is performed, please file a support ticket. I’ll remind you that rule 2 is right there in my previous post for you to read.

Whoever wrote those rules seems to have not yet learned that rules only work if they benefit both sides.

Also last time I submitted a ticket on moderation, support told me they aren’t working with community team and gave me an email to mail it directly. I never got a response. I don’t have any other channel to discuss it.

I understand why Falcon started a thread in Reddit and not the Official Eve Online forum.

Mine too, guess that’s a forbidden opinion!

And this right here is why everyone goes to reddit (including Falcon, ironically)
