CCP: Has module tiericide stalled?

Solo High-Angle Weapon Dreadnought.

Capship (XL) guns come in short/long range (blaster/rail, pulse/beam, autocannon/artillery), and anti-capship and anti-subcap (high-angle weapon). The anti-cap guns track really badly but do a lot more damage to things they can actually hit, and the anti-subcap guns track about like battleship guns. Combine them with web/grappler, and the dreadnought is able to bring down frigates which think they’re too fast for it.

Except any good subcap fleet commander knows the trick and how not to fall for it.

Sounds like a fun thing to do once you train into a dread and have metric shittons of isk that you wanna play around with to have some fun, even if you do lose the dread. Although the main deturant for me doing that if i could fly a dread and if i had the isk to do it for fun is that everyone would be like “hhaha killed a goonswarm dread! They’re so ■■■■!” Even though the person was just trying to have fun in a space game…

What has been done to capital modules is a interesting test case for what we can expect for sub capital modules. Its good info for those speculating on sub capital module tiericide.

For sub cap modules yet to have tiericide we can expect.

Enduring and compact versions for local reps.
Precise, Scoped, Enduring and Compact turrets.
Ample and Compact Missile Launchers.
Compact and Scoped Capacitor transmitters.
Compact cap boosters.

Cheers,
Neug
