CCP is at it again

That’s exactly why this content pack was created and I’m not going to ■■■■■■■■ the community about that.

It’s literally called a starter pack.

So if this is a thing that would help new players to get a better experience out of the game right from the start why charge them extra for it?

edit: edited to focus on the acutal question here

You should also remove the opportunity to use skill injectors when a player has more than 35-40million SP in total.
Just limit it, so it cant be abused any further, this is a huge mistake you did in 2016!

SP for injection capped at 35-40m SP.

0-5m 500.00
5-10m 400.00
10-20m 350.00
20-30m 300.00
30- 35 /40m 150.00
40m SP - 0.0000! finito! no more injectors can be used!

Also lock down the ability to have 100 accounts running for a skill farm, make it that you can only extract SP when you are really actively playing a character in the game and not like those idle sp farmers do it, to make profit with it and on the hand destroying the whole system for everyone else.

You could also add single purchasable stickers, you can stick to your ship hull to make extra profit for CCP! #Cosmetic items! - smart idea! = profit = nobody is hurt!
Stickers like you could add on your weapons for example like in CS:GO, I bet many people would buy those (Alliance stickers / EVE Logo´s / Corp Stickers etc)
Once applied they are on your hull, If you would like another stick on another ship hull, you have to buy them again, like a real sticker in the real world.

Doesn’t character transfer costs around $20?

Pretty much this. +1

That would give a near infinite advantage to multi-char players. Instead of maxing out one 300 mil sp char, you can simply use 10 30 mil sp chars as ‘tools’. Any ‘one’ specialisation can be made within 50 mil sp. Horizontal vs vertical, but exactly the same players exploiting the advantage.

Apparently you can ticket character transfers.

But don’t take my word for it. I just relayed the post into here, since it was relevant.

It is good you posted it anyways. It was relevant and I added the cost factor. As I was pondering about it multiple transfers of the same character to new accounts might alert CCP as it goes through their support system manually.

Aedaxus + a higher penalty with it included of course :)!

What about those of us who’ve already bought these packs, despite us not being ‘Starters’ ? I have to accept that I can’t use the booster as it’s only for characters < 35 days (grudgingly, as the sales spiel didn’t bother to mention this…), but what about the skill points themselves ? am I going to lose them again, or do I have to use them all within a specific time ?

I think you should use them asap.

This is another failscade that has ruined the game when CCP TRIES to do something and get the kind of backlash it is recieveing. While I have retired from Eve, I felt that at least sharing my thoughts was warranted.

thanks, could not have said that any better.

It’s disappointing they are falling on the same mistake again. We been there before and it didn’t end well.
I don’t like this.

In my case injecting: 1mil SP / 150k SP = 7 large skill injectors x 1b ISK = 7b ISK = 1750 PLEX = 65 EUR
Thanks to this pack it costs me 5 EUR.

Greatest deal ever, CCP!

Is it weird I don’t get the outrage on this?

How is this that much different then existing sells other then i directly get the SP rather then get plex to sell to buy injectors.

The number of injectors on the market might as well be infinite at this point from skill farms so isk = SP and I can buy plex for cash so money = isk therefore money = isk = SP or $=SP.

CCP just directly giving me SP for $ instead of going through the extra steps is nice.

It would be nice to have been able to purchase the pack in PLEX is well as Real Money.

This qeustion will be unpopular, but i have to ask it.

I have 2 old accounts that are currently Alpha, and i am slowly training them up to the 5m SP limit, which is taking ages, at which point i will Omega them.

If i buy now a starter pack for each, do i still get the full starter pack to them or has the change been implemented already ?
I know the booster won’t work, i’ll just give it to some new guys who just started when i meet them.

Thats the point, its not even really different, just “easier”?

Are you saying you want to be like the other games out there? We play EVE because it’s not that.

We don’t want loot boxes, pay to win, or exclusivity. Selling SP is just that. Skill injectors are also just that tbh and they have overall had a hugely negative impact on the health of the game.

Seems like PA really has CCP by the balls.
