This entire thread is based on feelings and not marketing data.
Of course I donāt have insights into their marketing or anything like that, but I do know when most people get paid, seems like they donāt.
For someone that keeps saying this is a useless thread, you keep engaging in it.
Again, the MAJORITY of CCPās customers donāt live in Europe. I know this, Iām usually playing during both EUTZ and USTZ. EUTZ is when I do PvE because thereās far, far fewer players than during USTZ.

Just curious: what prevents someone from putting away some money each payday and spending it later when there is a sale instead of wanting to spend right after payday?

Nothing prevents people from doing that.
There is two parts to this post I suppose, one I am personally dismayed and believe others are too (Could absolutely be wrong) and secondly providing feedback to CCP. Most companies like feedback as it helps carve out a direction to head towards, an issue to fix, or similar.
But you are right people can of course set money aside for things, thatās not a new thing.
The post is not really about that though, itās about putting sales that end right before a lot of people get money and that itās not a smart marketing decision.
Cool for everyone that has and is able to maintain a budget or put money aside, but thatās a different matter to hitting the mark with marketing.
CCP is in Europe too.
CCP has employees who need to get paid.
If CCP puts their sales up right before payday, CCP will have enough money to pay their employees!

To get even more technical, within Europe, Britain is the center of the universe/world. Straight through Great Britain runs the the prime meridian which is undeniably the center of the earth.
Alright we put the line there, but it still counts. It means we the British get to decide what time it is all over the world.
