CCP/Pearl Abyss

CCP just wants “epic battles” at citadels because that’s what they think is good for their marketing materials.

So why make it have minimal actual benefit to put an easy-blast structure with a core?

If the OPTION existed to have a coreless station with the drawbacks or a Core then Id say no problem, right on the money infact because I know of one coreless station that has operated pretty well. But you cant put another up.

I was waiting for someone to say this, And tbh, I agree.

Today someone came through and asked me to kill him, a few hours after that another 4 came through going for the ESS because and I quote “they were bored” just looking for content.

The wars going on now are minor.
Stop it with the renters, stop it with the major coalitions that dont do anything, and go all out.

If eve is dying, put some of that bling stuff people are hoarding to use!

Everyone loves to see that huge battle with all the doctrines that change the shape of the sov map.

With the regieme change in goons maybe it will come.
But there needs to be a shift. make it exciting.

NBSI 4TW.

Hell, might even draw back some OG’s

id hapily welp my thanatos into a massive blob for the lols.

The game whilst there is still PVP, and there is still wars going on, still feels kind of weak. and a little stale.
And tbh, its down to the player to make that a thing anyway.

I remember logging on to 150k players (granted alot of multiboxing and bots) But now the numbers are weak and its easy to point the finger at CCP and say well you killed it.

tbh no… they havent, what has changed really? we can still go out and do all the same things.
Feels like eve is going through a recession like the rest of the world.

I think it can come out the other side if players want it to.
Maybe the goons or Pandemic or whoever needs to say, screw it lets take it all and see what happens. cos why not?

Well thats my mentality anyway, if its gonna die lets crash the servers first with some epic shiny fights!

Decision #1 that destroyed Eve online Selling skill points and injectors.
Decision #2 F2P This allowed bot armies to farm isk and destroy the economy.
Decision #3 Giving mining ship ability to mine far to many resources destroying value.
Decision #4 Adding gambling mechanics like hyper cores to the game just made it feel cheap.
Decision #5 Adding core to the game that made structures obscenely expensive rather than just un- anchoring inactive ones after 3 months.
Decision #6 Screwing up high sec with dumb npc war.

I could keep going… but ill stop there

That’s decision #2.

Decision #1 was allowing character trading in the first place. Everything in this game is destructible except characters. They last forever being sold and resold instead of being account bound. You could buy 100M SP long before extractors were introduced.

You also left out combating illegal RMT by taking over the RMT business for themselves. Fixing nothing but their quarterly reports.

So you would rather see RMT that was going to happen anyway to CCP getting the money?
