CCP pls unf*** your fleet UI

the fleet window can be minimized, but it can’t be restored easily if the fleet window is too narrow, there is simply no title bar or unminimize button on it. The few inconvenient methods are either clicking those 2 pixels between the three-dot button and the arrow down symbol, or resizing it and doubleclicking the free space left to the three-dot button.

Keeping that beautiful fleet icon on minimized fleet windows would help a lot and is kind of a low-hanging fruit devs love to harvest.

You must love Photon. Since Photon was introduced this and many other major improvements to the user experience were made possible. Embrace the width dynamics of the windows to manipulate them. Make them wider to get space for basic tasks, then make them narrower again. This is such an intuitive, straightforward and simple thing to do. No reason to change anything in Photon.

what are you talking about?

Sarcasm. Read it as the opposite of what I wrote.

Just double click to minimize/unminimize. Below is the narrowest I can make the fleet window, and there is plenty of space to minimize/unminimize

dude. Did you even read my post in its entirety??? I am aware that I can widen it to unminimize. But this is a quite uncomfortable solution that requires me to constantly resize the friggin fleet window if I don’t want to waste too much of screen estate for a simple task like following broadcasts.

Yes I did, I was responding to this part:

Now admittedly, I did glace over the word doubleclick, but no where did I say to widen the window. But there is a lot of space to be able to unminimize and does not require you to resize the window. You have the space on either side edge of the window, the entire top, the space between the 3 dots and the down arrow. BTW, if you are in compact mode and want more padding, uncompact the window (not talking about resizing here). Compacting gets rids of most of the padding.

not if its as narrow as I like it, there’s literally space of few pixels left.

As I said before, the above is as narrow as can be made, there is plenty of space. If you don’t have that padding, take your fleet window out of compact mode. You can’t expect to have compact mode and complain about it being compact.

there is very little space to click. Not even in non-compact mode. I would prefer a fleet icon on the left, like there is in unminimized mode.

even a small black & white one would do the trick.
