So you can buy as many of the Golden Pack packs as you want. Bought 5 to see if I can. But I am sure you can buy more.

It shows…

Same here with the skins, dupes just get sold.

Me too, I have the 1st limited edition Frigates of EVE that I bought on pre order years ago.

A few minutes back there were 36,000 players online. A figure I certainly have never seen before in the 2 years I’ve been in Eve. This doesn’t look like Eve collapsing.

A snapshot is not a good argument when disputing a trend.

Try again.

I’m sorry but 2 years is hardly a snapshot.

Are you willfully misunderstanding what I was saying, or do I need to explain it to you?

Maybe a bit of both :face_with_peeking_eye:
Altara stated that she hasn’t seen numbers like these in 2 years and you willfully ignore what she noted during those 2 years to rather concentrate on the day of those numbers and dismissing them as irrelevant.
Is that the gist of your point?
The “both” part takes into consideration my low IQ and unwillingness to belittle Altara’s ascertainment as I myself have seen an uptick in player numbers during my time in the game, which, granted, isn’t veey long.

Grabbing a single data point from a period of two weeks, two years, or two decades is meaningless to show a trend. I can pull up opposite log in numbers from a week ago or a week from now and declare EVE is dead. That would also be meaningless.

Using a single Saturday U.S. prime log in number during a week where every Alpha in the game was just handed a weeks Omega and declaring “This doesn’t look like Eve collapsing” is disingenuous at best and just spouting ■■■■ to get an argument started at worst. And since it’s Altara, I’ll go with the latter.

What would, in your opinion, be a meaningful way to show a players trend in an online game?

Currently online: 35,957 Health: ok
Max (24h): 35,957 (2023-11-18 17:57:12)

Your link only shows to 2022, it also only has the last 24h.
Your link tells me practically nothing or no more than already known.

Can’t argue with that.

Actually no, you can’t. Since it’s just a regular skin now that you can expect to see in the shop in regular intervals. The item has basically lost all meaning.

The “shiny” of this items was their significance as a limited item that was tied to a specific event.

But continue to miss the point and act like a child with schadenfreude that someone else’s toy was thrown into a blender, it really shows good character

It shows the whole history since EVE’s inception if you bother to press the right buttons. If that is too difficult I can provide you with a screenshot if you would like to see the trend

That’s okay. I can’t press the right buttons.
I’m going to go with Altara’s assessment.
Thanks just the same.
