Anyway, the PvP servers were pretty much normal, with your standard survival gameplay fueled by resource scarcity. The PvE servers, on the other hand, had a bunch of people running around with thousands of rounds of ammunition calling each other various racist and sexist slurs, and player bases were so prevalent that every inch of claimable land was covered with them, to the extent that the entire 64km² map looked like one giant Brazilian favela.

Vanilla rust is that level of toxic, the hardcore servers were supposed to be the ‘real’ rust but nobody found them any fun. People voted with their feet.

I imagine a carebear version of EVE would be kind of like that, with everyone flying the biggest, most expensive ships, and hundreds of player stations would litter the overview in every system.

Everyone in a Golem, or everyone in a Titan? Its not like a nestor is better for scanning than a well fit astero. Hundreds of stations would never happen, as stations would actually allow for more wars and more PvP.

I dont enjoy avoiding being ganked in high sec and the feeling of not being safe in high sec does not belong either.

CCP doesn’t hate high-sec. This is just what we get when 90% of the game’s population wants to do nothing but role-play a wage-slave factory worker.

If there are 9 people each producing 1 widget, and another 1 person producing 1 widget and also destroying/losing 1 widget, that’s 10 widgets produced and 1 widget consumed. So where do the extra 9 widgets go?

CCP increasing material costs and taxing the economy are the only viable control mechanisms CCP has left, and all of this comes as a direct effect of the way that the majority of EVE’s players choose to play the game.

Or they can chase isk per hour… I know that road. Pays well. Not fun in time though, imo.

I had a low isk per hour couple hours aiding the effort to suppress angels. Then the fob reinforce. Not much money made as flooded plex to get those %’s. Not much money made in fob reinforce either. Had a blast though. It’s all good to me.

Yep. And I’ve seen other games “fix” this issue in ways that were crappy to say the least.

I’ve not done WoW crafting for over an expac. That, imo, went to utter crap really. They choked that out to the point it’s not even fun, or feasible really, to make stuff for your use.

All I used it for mainly. A live off the land RP as it were. My armour made by me from rock/leather to final product to feel more special. Dragonflight killed even that off.

Hmm, no. AssetSafety is a problem they could fix, because it prevents large-scale destruction and removed all motivation for attacking other peoples stations for loot or to cut him off from resources. All Citadels should work like Citadels in WH, it works there for years like a charm, even on alliance level. Just don’t be pussies and educate your grunts how to prepare for a manual evacuation in case ■■■■ hits the fan and a defense op fails.

Oh wait, won’t happen, Nullsec will cry a river of tears and claim it’s “impossible” to play without AS.
