Perhaps we can get a Dev to say that they are aware and working on it?

Has anyone else sent in a ticket maybe if they get more tickets they will focus on it more

Yeah Iā€™ve sent one along with loads of information. Iā€™ve tried eve today on a laptop with win 7 and same problemā€¦ Tried on a friendā€™s pc on win 8 using my Internet etc and I was able to log on fine. So at the moment only solution is to reload my pc with Windows 10 or something. :frowning:

Greetings! GM Alna is here!

Thank you for contacting EVE Player Experience.

We are currently experiencing some issues outside of our immediate control that may be impacting your connection to the game. This may also have a temporary impact on some other services such as in-game chat, Omega status, buddy recruitment links, and account recovery links.

If you continue to experience issues logging into the game, please provide me with your IP address, Internet Service Provider (ISP) and real-world location (Country with City or region) so I can pass this information on and use it to assist our engineers in getting you back in-game.

We would also need a trace file from you which shows your connection to the server. Below are the instructions for creating the file:

Press the windows key + R
Type CMD and press enter.
Type: tracert tranquility.servers.eveonline.com
Press Enter and wait for trace to complete
Type: ping tranquility.servers.eveonline.com -n 30
Press Enter and wait for trace to complete
Type: tracert 162.158.76.1
Press Enter and wait for trace to complete

Once the trace route and pings finish, please copy the result into a text document and attach the .txt file to this ticket or your email reply to this ticket.

Reply to my ticket.

Same here. Win7 64 bit and the same issue.
I sent them a ticket with a tracer file.
They said my ISPā€™s DNS is not finding some or all of CCP services, they adviced to try using Google public DNS but that did not solve the problem.
Im waiting for their reply.

Well after being convinced by a mate to upgrade to Windows 10, I can report the problem has gone for me. So maybe something to do with Windows 7?

Iā€™m sure ccp will sort the issue but if you canā€™t wait. Just upgrade to win 10ā€¦

Also upgraded to windows 10 and the launcher works. I guess it is a problem with windows 7 specifically

Interesting to hear that upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 10 resolves the issue; were the Windows 7 installations with all latest updates from Microsoft and the system default browser at the latest version?

BTW, this is only affecting very few customers and therefore only a small portion of Windows 7 users.

Important update: Players have reported that installing Windows update KB3004394 resolves this issue. This update from Microsoft addresses certificate issues.

Local is broken, is this a symptom of the patch not being installed in WINE ( Iā€™m on OSX? )

Edit:oops, sorry, wrong thread.

It took me a couple of restarts after the update but it works!

Thx!

IF anyone have Certificate error on win 7. Please update Entrust Root Certificate(2048).
Link: Entrust.net Certification Authority (2048)

Make sure the Entrust.net Certification Authority (2048) Expired date is 2029/07/24. If not this date, you will get this certificate error.

How do we know this is genuine ? Iā€™ll wait till CCP endorses it, I thinkā€¦

I think, while Windows 7 works offline, itā€™s not intended to run the device live, on the internet, while online data transfer are occuring.
You put your device and OS at risk, both licenses and systems.

1 minute later:

I was not notified about that yet.
The main problem with it is not from there, and itā€™s not a CCP Issue, and itā€™s not a Microsoft Issue, and itā€™s not an Operating System Issue with Windows 7, although, they are affected by the problem.
