NPC stations would have cyno beacons. Maybe thereā€™s a ā€œlesserā€ beacon that only allows one ship to jump. Maybe?

You canā€™t really blame the player base when all they are doing is using these ridiculously overpowered tools that CCP have given us over the last few yearsā€¦

  • Carrier and Supercarrier weapons that can volley destroyers and up
  • Rorquals that can mine the minerals for a Titan in a few days
  • Citadels that provide a safe haven and can be spammed anywhere
  • Unrestricted and unlimited anomalies in nullsec
  • Skill Injectors

You cant expect players to say meh this is too OP lets not use this.

Cause smaller, unorganized groups are less likely to have manpower dedicated to recons, and less likely to be able to shadow their ratting ships with recons, really. Also, theyā€™re less likely to already have beacons in every system they own.
(P.S. When we get something posted on this over at INN, can you comment there? I wanna see if one of our writers will be dumb enough to ask if youā€™re authorized to speak for PL again. :smiley: )

Will covert cynos stay covert as in not showing on overview?
Will Force Recon ships get a further cyno duration reduction [currently 5 minutes]?

Great plan to reduce Capital Assault fleets, make using a cyno a more considered decision and more easily assess cyno threat as Intel spots ships.

Basically this is another strike against the independent null operators. If you do not have multiple well trained accounts or are not in a sizeable Corp your ability to move your JF, Rorqual or other capital just got more challenging. Its not just the number of accounts, its also the cost of losses.

Overall I like this change. The feedback in the thread tells me my gameplay is only going to get better as the daily online count goes down. Looks like another last straw has been found for even more subscribers.

Props to CCP for fearless bold new changes that risk regular income.

you know ccp did all this not player base so blame ccp they add all these option

Anyone who has given this idea a thumbs up, either doesnā€™t play, doesnā€™t understand or go into Null or works for CCP.

This is the stupidest change in my 15 years of playing this game.

Theyā€™ve given us a blackout so we canā€™t see who is in Null and now we canā€™t move our caps (that we worked hard to get btw) around anymore without having a massive logistical setup. I for one am going to find it extremely difficult to warrant playing the game anymore.

As you can imagine the player base for this game has aged over the years, Players get families , which means reduced playing times, which means they choose which games they can play carefully. This is going to kill off a lot of veteran players. Iā€™m certainly not risking a 300mil ship never mind the fittings every time I want to jump a ship. From now on you will see a lot more people actually giving up, throwing in the towl and selling their accounts on Ebay. Iā€™m sorry to say CCP but if you do thisā€¦ you may as well close down the servers and kiss good bye to your loyal player base.

Last post, just moved all my stuff into the item hanger so if they go boom they go into asset safety, if that will still exist, will check back in a year, bye!

Blops BS as a cyno choice is odd. Iā€™d change it to another ship type.

The cyno duration needs to be altered. 5 minutes is too long. Knock it down to 1-2 minutes.

Other than that, interesting change.

Oh my god, I am un-subbing 32 accounts and my monthly donation to Save the Whales on behalf of CCP and I am going to chain myself to CCPā€™s building in protest until this awful and terrible idea is revoked!

But no, in all seriousness, bring it on. If we canā€™t adapt to this we didnā€™t deserve to be in null in the first place.

Hey CCP,

Pretty drastic change, Let me sum up the capital changes since I started playing: You NERF the firing power of fighters, Which reduced the income potential it generates, then you NERF spawn of sites to further mess income potential up, Then you took local to DARK to further mess things up, The Capital has no counter assault weapons to defend itself so when it get tackled its gonna do die it cannot fit missiles or guns or nothing. So then the hit the final nail in the coffin you gonna take its protection away the CYNO. interesting Basically 2 years worth of training down the drain because what can the carrier then do but die
