Chaos Era Continues - Cyno Update

Cloaking is the VNI anom botting equivalent of PVP in terms of attention required. It needs to go and isn’t real content.

lol then that’ll just make Combat Recon ships the new meta or something I believe. Then nothing will change in the end, any other bright ideas?

Every so often, I see someone say something and simply think ‘thank ■■■■ this person isn’t a dev’. This is one of those times.

What a stupid change

Guys, guys, the most important thing here is being missed: please contract all of your stuff and send all isk to me before you biomass. Thank you.

If you aren’t actually biomassing then you aren’t quitting.

This has to be the worst idea to come from ccp. This is worse than monocle gate. You want to well and truly kill capital use entirely, this is how you do it. Hell, i might just actually unsub. Star citizen is starting to look pretty good.

Nobody will use caps either. Nothing to hunt. Nullsec will be dead, well and truly

This is just a completely retarded change … way to go CCP making life for cloaky campers and hot droppers even easier!!!

How about you all get off your fat arses and do something about those Campers !!! Give us at least some means to stop making it an AFK pastime for them!!!

Somebody who is Away From Keyboard isn’t actually playing, so you dont need counter play to a person who’s not actually playing.

So you want us to buy a trillion plex to inject a bunch of alts up to force recon - therefore buying another condo in Majorca?

no

Its obviously a crack problem - STOP SMOKING CRACK! ITS BAD FOR YOU!

Ok so you can’t elaborate, you’re literally just screaming about the sky falling for nothing, gotcha.

It’s like CCP is thinking, “Gee… there’s a broken aspect of the game. Broken because we did something stoopid. Hey, this is a great way to fix that. Messing with a totally unrelated aspect of the game and breaking that!” All the while, they either do, or don’t, realize that every dumb action they take is causing them to lose more and more players.

I would be willing to bet that most of the people who complain about ‘afk cloaky campers’ themselves want to be able to AFK rat and/or mine.

You’re insane. That cyno is NOT your survival mechanic. Having a decent fit, and not being a smooth brain is. Having a cyno for worst case scenario will only change slightly.

  1. Have falcon all sit cloaked 200kms or so from Colossal ping.
  2. If the poop hits the scoop, light cyno from there. response fleet just has to warp in.
  3. Mobile Cyno Inhib be damned. Figure it out, don’t be such a Chicken Little.

If you live in Null sec, everyone is a cloaky camper as long as you stay outside of dscan range, or if you fly a ship that doesn’t show on Dscan. Cause without null sec local, everyone is a cloaky camper.

Problem: Capitals are able to project force too far and too quick.

Solution: Limit hull types able to facilitate their rapid movement.

Logic Error: Cap Superpowers don’t depend on a 1 hull: 1 player dynamic. Cap Superpowers have cap stashes through New Eden and make use of jump clones/alts to force project.

Law of Unintended Consequences: The only activity you are depressing is null sec JF logistics used to service small gang pvp’ers (the guys you are trying to help). The only winner is Indy guys building/selling Recons, CovOps etc.

For once CCP, could you look at a problem and seek a linear solution to that problem instead of trying to prove how smart you are(n’t) and craft some convoluted band aid that marginally addresses the issue?

There is a small upside, no need to worry if that Maller landing in your bubble is BLOP’s bait.

the less you can jew, the more plex they sell

You had a chance for a true Era of Chaos. You could of had Concord go on strike. But instead you choose to mess with Null once again. Is the goal to get more people in Hi sec? Or is the goal to have even more people stop subbing? Know when I say this, the change doesn’t really affect anything I do in this game. I can see the outcome of these changes. How can you not?

If they really wanted to fix this, which isn’t a broken aspect just something people complain about, then maybe Cyno’s should act like wormholes. The more and larger things go through them, the faster they decay. If it decays fully while you’re in transit, it either dumps you back out at the point of origin, or a random location in a random system between your origin and destination.

Lock a staple module of the game behind two SP intensive ship hulls, i think its pretty obvious why this is being implemented $$$$$
