THis is the first time I openly complained about itā€¦soā€¦you kind of dropped the ball there buddy.

BUT am I wrong?

My main idea on that was that I was focusing on the free aspect of cloaking , imho it stays a problem , being able to cloak 24/7 isnā€™t a good idea at all but some of this is kinda fixed by the cyno threat much less present, at least for a time. its just a question of weeks, recon producers will make big isks , toons will skill to recons, and all alts will fly recon. then ccp will have to revamp cloaking, end of story.

BUT at least its not ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā–  like a cloaky saber that were all over the place ruining the game. A recon is at least more tolerable and at least its more money on the line. We still have more to do before this game is fixed though but this might help it a lot

More money ā€¦ you can tell it fast ā€¦ in one hour solo in tier 5 abyssal I have the money for a recon and its fitting so well ā€¦ 300 mils are not that much nowadays. Money isnā€™t the problem, really, the real problem is how easy it is to access cloaking or being able to light a cyno. and all newbs that want everything the first day while veterans fight to keep a skill advantage over rookies ā€¦ eternal problem

Yeah I just canā€™t see why you are even complaining though you in the 3rd biggest powerblock in the game complaining about 1 of the 2 Powerblocks that are actually bigger then you go back to farming provi then disengage and dock up when they can actually form similar numbers

Training the Cruiser V seems to be the largest hurdle if your pilot alt hadnā€™t unlocked that tree.

SKill injecters are a huge problem so no thats not correct. Also newbies cant run good abyssals. Do not try to rationalize having to use an expensive ship to move ships around solo. I suppose you can have fun with the wall of recon deaths.

Well Spencer will be a few months before he can openly type Cyno up in local again.

When you talk about a cyno alt, you have to think that this alt has a main that makes money for him. alts like that serve a sole purpose , maybe two (like scouting, cyno, haul, and such) and skills are extracted regularly for plex, while the main toon(s) keep on skilling.

Change in CYNO made caps useless in long range battle compare with the normal ship. Why not find a way to balance the caps ability while with the normal ship rather than change in CYNO mode? And this will make the enormous alliance having greater advantage and give them more choice to let their caps create partially advantages.

you also need to consider the price change for moon goo budā€¦ you wont see many rorqs out when this change goes liveā€¦ :slight_smile:

by the way does cyno revamp only impact nullsec ? is nullsec the subject of this thread ? or is it nullsec inhabitants ?

so my counter proposal.

design a new cruiser hull for each race.

  • this hull would be rather tanky for its size; either active or passive.
  • it can fit a CYNO beacon with a skill bonus per level to cycle time and fuel use
  • it has standard T1 resistance profile and can fit an assault damage control

add a T2 variant to the HIC line

  • this hull has the same bonuses as its T1 parent
  • this ship can fit a CYNO beacon
  • This ship can fit a (NEW) CYNO inhibition module
  • T2 Bonus would include Warp ā€œDisruptionā€ range bonus

the T2 hull hulls would be able to move with the Cyno lit, however would incur a Massive speed and agility penalty whilst the CYNO Or Inhib are active.

could also add a T2 destroyer that launches 60S Cyno/Inhib beacons (second interdiction hull)
