Chaos Era Continues - Cyno Update

No offence intended but you do know not everyone lives in a Bloc where there is still plenty to do for many JF pilots.
The need for JF’s in my alliance has dropped lower than it was when we lived in highsec.
Personally, I’m selling my JF and extracting my 6 cyno alt accounts. That’s roughly 10 bil isk a month i don’t need to find, thank you CCP.,.

I don’t have the isk to inject my cynos so they can be used before the change kicks in. I’m really not interested in not using my JF for a month while cynos train into cloaky frigates.

So while YES this change is a definite QoL change for JF pilots - Not every JF pilot will benefit from it.

For the Blocs JF pilots - CCP AGAIN found a way for them to operate in a safer way.

Beer pong development strategy for the win.

The way I feel it most of the people who apparently cry for more nerfs and chaos so they could get more good fights actually don’t want any good fights at all.
What they are looking for are ganks and they obviously look for them in the wrong places.

You will never get the game into a sate where you can roam with 4 cynabals into the home of 10k players and get a Pver gank without getting a disappropriate response to your gang.
The possibility for disappropriate responses is at the very core of what makes EvE special and sets it apart from other games.
What you are asking for actually is arena style pvp and maybe you should go look at another game to satisfy that need.
If you wanna go roam with a couple of ships and look for easy ganks on soft targets you would better go to lowsec where this type of warfare belongs to.
Nullsec, on the other hand, is meant for big fights and escalations. Hence many times Rorqual get tackled not in the hope of a rorqual killmail but in the hope of actually provoking an escalation.

Quite frankly this is the best part of EVE, it’s what makes EvE great, like the big battle in the south who raged on for a day and even made news in the BBC at its time.
All this would be far less likely to happen with these changes. This change only takes away from EVE without offering anything of value in compensation.

You do know a large majority of those who post on r/eve regularly haven’t actually played EveOnline for many years.

If I’m ever looking for certain people who have left the game - R/Eve is the place to find them.,.

Of course they don’t - They want the easiest/most expensive kills they can get with the least risk.

An interesting change. Thanks for considering the logistical impact and giving JFs a workable alternative to sitting expensive ships on stations for jumping.

But as others have mentioned: give us something to remember the fallen by as corvette candles will be no more.

Recons are a thing.

The real-life equivalent to this would be to be able to walk up to a group of friends, pick out the weakest guy, beat him up while all his other friends for some magical reason can’t help him and are forced to just watch their friend getting beaten to a pulp, then run off giggling.

How is it better for the game to make it easier to gank miners? Its always been the position of the elitist that PVP is the real way to play. But none of the ships you fly are possible without miners. Miners are the backbone of the game because without them there is no market and no ships. Yet CCP and the CSM keep coming up with ways to make sure miners are off playing other games.

Eve reaching new lows every week. Barely cracked 24k on a Friday. Things are going swimmingly, make Eve great again like it was in 2006 when about 10,000 people were playing at peak times.

Actually it is more like - A reasonably big alliance taking a 50 or 100 man fleet into someones space and killing half a dozen players who have no chance of winning.
Something we are seeing more and more every day as the biggest groups become increasingly bored and due to recent changes can now freely roam undetected until it is too late for the small/er group to react (get out of their way)

Look at us - Took out a 100 man roam (worth 10 bil) and killed 6 ships (worth 700 mil) - How fukin good are we.,.

I hate to say it man but, as part of one of the bigger groups, the smaller groups dont undock to defend. If they cant escape they just burn, and then the system turtles. Gimping cynos wont fix that.

This is a great change! Now instead of cynoing all over the place, capitals will actually be forced to use gates like other ships.

Why? Do you not think groups with capitals can fly Recons?
Please give a reason you think this will change ANYTHING for the biggest groups?

I’m going to do something else for a while - The uninformed posting how this change will affect anything, other than how cynos are moved about and lit is just depressing.

You do realize that almost every PvPer out there tends to have some sort of bearing income, right? Be it ratting, mining, industry, trade or any of the countless ways to make ISK in New Eden. We mine. We manufacture. We invent. We buy all the minerals you mine and turn them into something useful and sell it back. We build ships, we build modules, we build citadels and all manner of things.

The difference is, we don’t pretend we should get to do whatever we want while being immune to other people. When we mine, we can either defend ourselves or we accept that we need to adjust the risk to the income. When we haul and trade, we safeguard ourselves from others.

Every pure bear in the entire game could vanish tomorrow. The end result would be less competition for the rest of us, as we adjusted our industrial complexes to compensate. The backbone of Eve isn’t just the miner. It’s the ones creating a market for miners → industrialists → traders to fill.

Is being eroded away - The small time guy who lives in nulsec and funds his PVP via indy.
They are the ones being hit hardest by these changes - Sure they won’t make much of a dent in the overall scheme of things if they leave but why should they be forced out because CCP don’t know what “balance” is?

Who cares which group is being affected? This change makes it harder for capitals overall, which for a lot of people is a good thing. Battleships suddenly don’t have inferior mobility to capitals and might actually become relevant again.

Yeah I agree. I do all of the above. But the changes to me dont make sense for anything other than an arbitrary way to gimp the power blocks. Which to be fair, the power blocks conquered and developed their regions over a number of years and developed ways to defend their space and the activity of their members.

So when EVE was first advertised as a game where you can build your own space empire. People are pissed because groups have done just that and now we want to penalize them for it masking it as improvements.

Theres the way EVE works on paper, and theres the way it works in practice. We all know what these changes are really trying to do.

That is a really good point

You’re still not saying HOW this will make it harder.
I’d like you to elaborate a bit, tell me WHY you think this.

Battleships will still will still be slow cumbersome things that die to a few Supers.,.

What makes you think they’re being “forced out”? This is all stuff that can be adapted to. Of course the bigger entities have a much easier time adapting to these things, but that’s always going to be the case with all changes. That doesn’t mean this is going to “force out” anyone else. It just means adapting is required.
