CODE. Bowheads are useless in Hisec

I’m not Blue to CODE. or Miniluv lol
I’m as much a target as anyone else…

I just know when to pause my shipping activities lol (because that’s a hard task /s)

simple solution, do what every other incursionista with half a brain does when transporting their ships… avoid known gank locations, and spend the little bit of extra time on your route.

yes it might take an extra 30 minutes to go the long way… but how many hours is it going to take to replace your multi-billion worth of ships lost by not?

just like so many other things, spending a little extra time doing things right, saves you lots of time in the long run.

Bowhead works better with escorts, like Marmite and so on.
But at 10 billion for an escort, you may as well get 2 or 3 Bowheads, and fit them up with over 20b worth of ships, to make it worth your trip.
btw, Marmite does offer Escort services in High-Sec.
There are also other mercenary, which, after a while of doing business, would be able to lower their prices if it would bring them stable income.

Multiple ships is an option although clone jumping may limit this to once a day.
It’s always possible to fly other ships through the pirate bottlenecks systems.

Incursions fleet could hypothetically escort bowheads, however, there is a trust issue.
Add the fact that no Incursion pilots wants to escort bowheads, especially not for free.
So yes, it’s a good ship, it worked until pirates ganked them, after they managed to sort it out.
Players still use it. I don’t. Mine is parked and I never flown it once.
I need another pilot to fly it.

The worst that can happen is to hire a goon to fly it for you, and land it in Delve by accident.

LOL

That is a straight lie.

So simple…

I use my Bowhead to move fitted T1 BS and BC’s, nothing else, and if they want to gank that then the loot fairy is going to screw them, simple approach and it works. My max skill Impel, X-Type hardeners, high grade Slave pod, travelling with a Command ship is pretty damn un-gankable, it is so simple really…

I use my bowhead to transport everything I want. MWD trick and a scout make you almost 100% risk free.

If that is too hard for you, then don’t fly a bowhead or limit the cargo.

For you as in being CODE / Miniluv 100% risk free yes, for me no.

That is easy stuff mate, that you think it is hard says a lot about your inability to Eve, you have to rely on being part of a blue donut for no risk.

Feelsbadman, but I gotta agree with Ima.
Hell. the scout isnt even really necessary.
We all know that, even though we keep memeing it.

Having said that, Im not really sure why Ima uses a Bowhead in the first place.

Bowhead in HS is pretty much only useful for Incursions.
(Or for shipping hulls past LS… grrr)

We have different opinions on Citadels, its fine mate.

It is, believe me, exhibit A:

Did you notice something in the highs on all of them?

You know how easy it is to inject a new Macherial pilot, so your scout might have a number set -10, but your key job is to see what is around the gate by visual and by D-scan. So you jump it through and that Macherial is there having declaoked. Now you really have to be spot on with that MWD warp trick, and maybe just maybe he warped in a Blackbird or decloaked it when you jumped so he can suicide point you.

At that point you are in trouble, now of course I have saved Bowheads with people who fitted the MWD by the use of warp outs in the direction of the bump and who trusted me.

Ima does not have to worry, well up until recently as other people have now started to understand what the Goons have been doing and started doing the same.

Map intel will tell you all you need to know without needing a scout.
I know scouts are memed as a precaution, but seriously, its not that mandatory.
Anyways, you can just pay some random in Local to tell you whats on the otherside.

Far more important is the route, especially to systems where you can jump over most of LS, when transiting between HS/NS.

As I said, Bowheads in HS are for two things:
–1) Moving your ships to next Incursion.
–2) Moving ships between HS/NS, by jumping over LS.

You are a detail man, be more specific on what detail the map tells us. Ships and pods destroyed in the last hour perhaps? Not sure I would really want to trust that for an expensive cargo, but then again I do play to be hard to kill…

Being able to see what you are jumping into is key survival intel, I used a single account for two years, I noticed the difference when I got a second account, that is why casual players with one account are so much more vulnerable in all areas of space.

Most Eve players can barely press F1 properly…

I moved a large number of fitted T1 BS’s, BC’s and cruisers to a jump in point, well away from the camped pipes, worked well for me

In terms of Bowheads, and OP, in HS, it is how I said it is.

They have two uses.

–1) Moving your ships to next Incursion.

–2) Moving ships between HS/NS, by jumping over LS.

That’s it (assuming rational behavior).

Whether you scout or not, doesnt change what they are useful for, as per above.

I wish gankers would siege Incursion systems and prominent chokepoints to jump past LS, but it just isnt happening currently. They are too busy whelping little noob miners, it seems.

Actually CODE have upped their game recently and have their Alpha accounts on steam, they are ganking freighters and stuff in the pipes without any Goons in their fleets recently.

Don’t understand that, how can a Bowhead do that?

If they had any sense, they would be besieging Incursion systems.
Billions in ships/modules of PvE players arriving piecemeal at a predictable point.
But yeah, they dont have sense.

Touche.
Bowheads cant jump on their lonesome.
I keep forgetting that.

Actually they are lazy in the main… and their objectives are specific.

It would be nice to have a T2 version that can jump, however the LS players would have a fit as they love to catch people moving stuff to their carries on the in gates. The crying and screaming over such a ship would be pretty massive, it is just not going to happen. Yellow Pasaral will be organising Burn Jita 579, just after Bubble rage.

Smaller groups might use a bowhead, bigger groups just say new rigs here you go.

I expect CODE members are themselves also running Incursions on alts.

That would explain why they dont focus on wrecking billion isk Incursion runners re-deploying to indicated Incursion systems.

Perhaps someone else should start doing so. I mean its ridiculously easy and potentially profitable. You know exactly where they will come, you know they will be packed with bling, and you know they are set for PvE.

Should be a no-brainer.

@Dracvlad Dom might be blue, but my alts are free game (not that I care)

But you knew that didn’t you?

I seriously doubt that, but don’t let that bother you.

do you honestly believe CODE. and/or Miniluv know all of my alts?

get off your imaginary cloud lol

Like I said, I’m as big a target as anyone

So you have a blue list that you can be on to keep your freighter alts from being attacked in hisec and you decide voluntarily to not be on that list, if so respect for playing as a hard man and then a lack of respect for being an idiot.

You bored now that InPanic have given up?

Look, fellas, Bowheads are fine. They’re practically immortal. How is code going to kill them when they have a gorillian hp? Just get any ol bowhead and make sure to use it to carry your officer fitted incursion ships. Its the best way to get your shippies to the newest incursion.
