CODE - can anyone can explain?

Exploiting not in a sense of using exploits as defined by CCP. Just general english language meaning.

exploit
verb
3rd person present: exploits
ɪkˈsplɔɪt,ɛkˈsplɔɪt/

1.
make full use of and derive benefit from (a resource).

So, basically, they expoit crimewatch mechanisms. And in the same way, mission runners expoit PvE mechanisms. And miners exploit mining mechanisms. And Wormholers exploit WH mechanisms. Nothing wrong then.

For me it is really because of my deep love for other people and how I can help the random poor non-compliant miner to become better at EVE and literately become a better person.

Comitting illegal acts in HS that get CONCORD to explode you.

CONCORD is just a game mechanic. I’m talking about compliance with the law of Highsec which everyone agreed to when they entered New Order territory (formerly known as Highsec) of course, the New Halaima Code of Conduct.

CONCORD is a game mechanic.

“New Halaima Code of Conduct” is a RP fiction.

Its funny as hell how upset they get when they are called RPers (which they are), and how hard they try to deny it.

From what I can see, it’s actually a more complex thing than it may seem at first.

CODE members share a profound dislike of the way high sec carebears play the game, the many wrong assumptions they make, how little they care to properly fit and fly their ships, and especially how they react when they lose their spaceships in a game that’s all about exploding ships in space.

Don’t know if all, but many CODE members do believe that, if left alone, those carebears could end up ruining the game with their mentality, and that CODE can prevent that from happening by continuously reminding them that there is no such thing as safety anywhere in EVE.

And then there is the blog thing that the victims themselves make so entertaining and has become an EVE feature by itself. There are people that don’t play the game but still know about the game and have fun reading minerbumping.

I personally am glad they exist, mostly because they provide such a target rich environment…

Nah, CODE just dislikes buying wardecs.

Yes, so when it comes to discussing some new game mechanics that could hurt their activity or gains, CODEes are very enraged. Basically you could say that about every subgroup of EVE players. Muh ISK, muh killboards, muh asteroids, muh CQ, muh bounties, muh carriers, the pattern is very visible.

CODE is an RP based HS racketeering org.

They clear fields of other miners, so they can mine more on their own alts there, especially Ice anoms.

As has been mentioned many times, CODE. is just an excuse for people who are bad at actual PvP to pretend they are badasses by tackling targets that mostly can’t fight back. They are virtually irrelevant in todays game.

Miners want to watch “Little house on the prairie” while AFK-playing EVE. Gankers are re-enacting “Mad Max” while playing EVE. Guess who is having more fun?

I have no idea. And I absolutely guarantee that you have no idea either.

You presumably have an opinion, based on your personal preference, but that is also completely irrelevant to the little house on the prairie junkie.

Sure, CODE is irrelevant in today’s game. I guess that’s why I see a couple trillion ISK worth of freighter kills and ganks by them every single month on ZKill. You know, because they are irrelevant…

Really?
How many trillions in 04.2018?

Sorry, not going to let you Salvoshred this one. Let’s not argue over semantics.

The point is, CODE kills a ■■■■ ton of freighters, miners, and blingy mission ships 24/7/365 and you know it…

I guess irrelevance has a strong correlation with threads talking about them?

No relevance = many threads about them

In all honesty, they’re not that hard to ignore in game… you just need a minimum of attention and brainpower.

Exactly. Based on this thread, then I guess bumping and cloaky camping are also irrelevant, because there’s only about 3,000 threads on each topic…
