Do you have evidence that CODE. agents are mining without CODE. mining permits, or merely speculation that they must be up to something because you don’t like them?
I dont think it needs to be Human Players with a free license to bully. harass. and intimidate.
Then why don’t you stop them?
(Answer: because highsec farmers don’t want to use the tools they already have, they want someone else to remove whatever is getting in the way of their farming.)
Whoa, Whoa, Whoa. Who said im just a High Sec miner? LoL Im also a Null Sec Miner, and a Ninja Gas Huffer. In Fact its been weeks since i have mined Real Ore in high sec (been running Missions tonight while BPOS finish), I am just giving Intel on Code Pathetic-ness
that is all. The one time Since i have returned that I was popped by Code i asked to meet the fella in Open Combat and he whined and cried and Sought Refuge behind the Alliance. No Offence. I have nothing to be Ashamed of. Code on the other hand: Does.
Nope Just pointing out Hypocrisy. I am not the one who claims that they are doing a Service by Adhering to a Code . What im actually doing is level 4 mining missions that take forever (but i want standings and I Lost my drake 2 days ago, just havent replace it yet lol)
That has to happen in hisec at this point, you just have to look at that CODE Orca mining fleet that AFK ice mines four different systems and amusingly none of those systems were even looked at by the Trigs. One Orca for each roid, seriously.
Just go to Kamio, and watch that Orca fleet, that is its main base of operations. That this seems to happen 7/7 24/24 says everything about this game and why it has major issues.
PS The objective of this is to get the Orca nerfed, the Orca is fine, but the issue is when it is used like this. So your suggestion of a Pirate NPC dread for hisec is a good one, I would procedurally do this every time there is more than 4 Orca’s in an ice belt.
This is so funny, than again CODE is funny, the whole idea of them.
Players with free license to bully, harass and intimidate… as far as I know every player in Eve has that particular license. In truth, in my opinion CODE cannot measure up to real PvP, and it never could so it lives of harassing new players before they gen get their barrings in Eve. Because once they do they are out of average CODE members league. Blowing up bots is good and I support that, but there is a difference between legit PvP and just plain old griefing…
Perhaps, but doubtful… For instance, just yesterday our miners (in null sec) got attacked by a pirate gang. We mustered the ships we could in short time and responded…and got our asses kicked. Furthermore same pirates just stuck around, and it all resulted in a substantial fight where several corps engaged them.
Hands down, that was a legit raid, nothing I ever saw from CODEs HS gankers even approaches the lvl of skill demonstrated by said pirate gang…
Just one example
The activities you’re comparing have entirely different intents and purposes. People keep claiming that CODE. are bad at PvP, can’t win real fights, etc. etc., but they don’t stop to think about what CODE.'s intentions actually are. CODE. isn’t going around claiming that they’re elite PvPers (although some of them are on other characters, such as Hell Dawn and BLACKFLAG members, which pound for pound are more skilled at PvP than any null-sec fighters aside from some elite units from the most powerful alliances). CODE. is a different sort of organization.
Also, you people keep ignoring the fact that the best players in the game have their roots spread across all of EVE’s fertile soil. So when someone says “these guys suck, they’re just griefers who don’t know how to do anything but shoot 3-day-old Ventures, unlike these actually-good PvPers that we saw in 0.0!”, they don’t realize (or refuse to acknowledge) that they’re often talking about the same people. It must be a real shock to the system to find out that some hard-ass supercap FC, surprise, also likes ganking barges in his spare time. Shocking, I know, but some players like to do more than just a single thing in the game.
Yes, yes… all that, however ganking 3 day old Ventures is pretty much what CODE does, and that is griefing, plain and simple. One cannot expect to get any lvl of respect from that play. I never said there aren’t really good PvPers in the mix, I said average CODE member.
Once you see a ganker chasing you to a jump gate in HS, agroing you there (therefor locking him self in system for the count) while you simply jump and leave him to his fate with Concord… which I saw multiple times from CODE members. You cannot seriously claim that was a good player
In a conversation with a certain other someone, I’ve proven that to be false. The average CODE. kill is worth more than any big null-sec alliance I’ve checked (260 million for CODE., 200 million for PL, 157 million for Goons, etc. etc.), so either what you’re saying is vastly exaggerated, or those are some expensive-ass Ventures. And that calculation doesn’t even account for outliers like officer-fit supercapital kills, which you can’t find in high-sec!
All big organizations will have a share of experienced veterans, and newer players learning the ropes. What’s your point? Are you holding CODE. to a different standard in this regard? Is every single CODE. player supposed to be a master of their craft? No rookies only just learning to gank allowed?
I am not holding anyone to anything, but CODE is one of the more presumptuous organizations in Eve you have to admit. Selling permits and all that lol… If you presume you self to be all that I will presume to ridicule you when you fail so miserably…
In any case mere mention of CODE gets you chuckles from majority of players, hardly the terror they present them self as.
The average CODE. kill is 260 million ISK. You’re saying that the bulk of CODE.'s activities is ganking three-day-old Ventures. It just doesn’t add up.
Once again, you’re missing the intent of the organization entirely by hopping aboard the “serious business” train. From the perspective of people who see the whole picture, CODE. is one of the most successful organizations in EVE. Hint: one good metric by which you can measure success is by how many people know your name, and can’t stop talking about you all the time.
That has some logic to it I suppose.
However from the perspective of people who do not see the whole picture, they are griefers, plain and simple.
I acknowledge that you are accepting PvP the moment you undock and all. Big kills aside, if you claim Code is not purposefully harassing new players that simply isn’t true. How much joy does killing a 3 day old player get you really.
I really doubt any heavy hitter who lives in null or WH space goes “Jeeez know what Imma go jump in HS alt and go massacre a few newbies”
