I’d like to talk about why carebears are so obsessed with killboards. It’s okay if you don’t want to.
You could accuse me of being a carebear, but it’s been a couple years since I even looked at the KB for any of my characters, so I don’t really think it adds much to the discussion.
Why (in general) do we hear carebears bang on so much about killboards? What’s up with that?

I think it is because the “carebears” see an aggressive PVP player in the game and they subconsciously want to be like that person. They aren’t quite sure what makes that person different… but a good killboard is one way. So, they latch onto that and obsess over killboards as a way to compensate.

I don’t know friend. Don’t believe everything you read on the internet. There’s no reason that ananymous author has any more authority about what a carebear is in EVE, than there is that the urban definition of griefer applies to EVE either.
EVE’s always been a bit unique that way.

The quarantine is kicking in, too many people with too much time on their hands.
The number of shitposts and whine threads will increase, more so if boredom compels people to try a game where if it’s banned everywhere else, with a few exceptions it’s probably allowed here.
CCP trailers need moar butterfly effect, the old school stuff was great, less look at the shiny; with emphasis on “based on a true story” style content, it’s not like there’s a lack of them to choose from.
This is Eve was one of their best received trailers if the quality of the parody is anything to go by, both hit the sweet spot.

No, in Eve you have to be special to be a carebear, being a PvE biased player is not a factor in being a carebear; the deciding factor is your attitude.
A carebear asks that the game be changed to suit them, despite often being told how to get around the obstacle that they face, be it a mechanic or other people; an Eve player changes how they play to suit the game.
You’re meant to find your own way around, through, over and under the obstacles you face, we’ve all been down that path and will freely share how we did it, what we learned from it and adjusted how we play because of it.
There is no end beyond the one you set for yourself, there is only the journey with all the stories and people that you discover along the way; some good, some bad. This is the game, it just happens to have spaceships.
