Combat scanner prob issue

i have been trying to use combat probes for the past half hour when you scan a system result pop up for a breif moment then disappear as if nothing is in system

the only thing i can get to show up is NPC mining barges i have tried this including in jita it still says there are no ships in space, i do not think this is true
