Most settings are currently stored per-account, so whenever we change a keyboard shortcut (for example) we then have to change it again on all our other accounts. If we wanted to have different settings for certain accounts we could use the profiles in the launcher to separate them.
Side note: a cloud storage option would also be nice.
This one gets a solid nope from my side, and likely a lot of others who use multiple accounts, and have specific layouts for each accounts’ purpose.
If you need settings to be the same, use a script.
Go to:
%appdata%…\local\CCP\EVE\f_eve_sharedcache_tq_tranquility\settings_Default
create a new file, call it CopyConfigs.cmd
put this in it and edit the stuff with ##s to match your files. This was a slapped together script so no fancy for loops or anything.

Save file, right click, send to desktop (create shortcut) and then make changes you need on main account/char, and run the script. You’ll now have mirrored configs for all of your clients.
And now your problem is solved, without ruining other peoples’ experience and setups.
Sure, but let’s face it, they’ll hamfist some ■■■■ that borks everyone’s configs every other day and pisses off a lot of people.
The script does it well enough without having people who can’t manage to keep a damned IRC server up from having accidents all over our configs every other day. (sorry this is harsh, but when the game is tied to chatrooms and they’re constantly breaking, I can’t help but get frustrated)
Thay have enough on their plates with balance passes, figuring out how to finally ditch POS code, and maybe if we’re lucky fixing corp/alliance ACLs to be consistent and useful. Use the script and that’ll be one step closer to ending POSs forever.
Yep, and that script does work. I actually use it, but with a few nests for each account… account #1 all sues amarr skin and are combat oriented, all of account 2 uses plasma, they’re my eyes and trade alts, account 3 is the red one, they’re all sabres/logoff traps. Each has its own overview/general screen looks. I use with EvE-O Preview, and between that and different screens for different account/usage it helps keep track of what i’m doing.
With my setup, I just have to make the change on 3 ‘mains’ and then run the script and all my alts are taken care of.
(Also - protip) Back up your configs on your own (and often). Google drive is an awesome thing
