At this point when does the game not have chat issues? A chat server is something that everyone does as a 2nd or 3rd year comp sci student. So why can’t a multi-million dollar corporation figure it out?

No. Outsourcing it is the way to go. You just need to do it propperly. Get an true chat service instance into the game, with voice communication capabilities, maybe video streaming / display capabilities too, improve communiction by providing the ability to highly visibly highlight things in space, stuff like that.
Any major corporation in eve is running some kind of out-of-game communication interface, not rarely they’re running multiple communication interfaces at the same time. Why not just run eve and voice chat in eve w/o alt+tab mess and having to create/link/authenticate various services?

because ddos attacks are made on this chat every minute and sometimes they succeed
but students can’t even get 10% of what they can ccp

Don’t worry, most nullseccers are hard-core carebears.
At a time local’s defunctive like this they’ll dock up and not undock until the local chat is back.

OK Chat still down, game unplayable like this so onto Elite Dangerous I guess till fixed
Chat has been broken for months.
Just not this badly.
Maybe CCP should pull their finger out and actually fix it properly rather than just sticking their heads in the sand hoping it will fix itself.

Ok so i know they have identified the issue. Any idea on how long till it is fixed?
The issue is from start 2019, they should have rollback to original chat server, we did not have any of those issues.
