Today, chat and corporate channels have been empty at times, even when I could see that other players were in system. Also, twice, when local seemed to be working, I saw players appear that were NOT in local chat. Usually, closing the client and the launcher and then restarting fixed it, but not always. There are several Reddit threads about this, and many bugs reports were filed.
This is a huge issue. Everyone depends on local chat to be aware of threats.
Is there any know way to fix this?
I rarely ask about bugs in Eve, but is this a priority for developer attention? It certainly should be.
bump… can’t see a thing in local. Then sometimes it records every one in local forever so I can tell you who has been in and out of system in the last 24 hours lol.
Here’s a thought… Assume that space is dangerous, and be prepared.
I wish they’d make all of Null Sec operate the way Wormholes do. No names unless they speak. Then all the hard core Null Sec’ers crybaby Care Bears won’t be able to sit and stare at the alphabetical roster of occupants. You live in “lawless space”, but you’re complaining about potential threats? Hah!
I unsubbed 2 accounts due to this exact bug over 3 months ago, ironically came to forum today to see if it had been fixed. 2x account money going on beer instead that is never bugged. might check again next year
local is totally ■■■■■■, i see people on grid who are not in local
my alt is in fleet but he doesnt have a fleet chat channel
I enter messages, but they get sent with like 30s delay
Corp members who are online are not shown in corp chat
1 - 3 happen sometimes, 4 happens frequently since the chat channel update in … March! How long do you need to fix the bugs? A full year? What about the compensation you talked about like 6 months ago?
Yesterday was my first time to realise chat issues (member list doesn’t mean much to me because I live in wh space).
First problem was message sent BY me, wich some of my corpmates could see, others don’t.
Second problem was a message sent from a corpmate wich i couldn’t see, but most of my corpmates could.
Just had a bug, with my local chat (35 jumps off Jita) starting to load the jita-local. Just paniced some carebears, when i reported my local spike. When i reached the next system, the chat finally told me, that it loaded Jita-local. This bug was active, till i reached a system with more than 5 players in it.
So every few seconds my local keeps switching between Jita and whichever system I am in. Apart from being extremely annoying, I can’t go back into null, as even my scout can’t see what’s going in. Anyone else having this?
Today, Jita local doesnt load at all. It just wont change chat channel to Jita when i jump in. Please never fix this particular bug, the silence in local is great.
I concur today I went to jita have not been in years local at 214 station at 1800 I jumped out of system and back in and there was local again I left the system and local was still jita and for a few more jumps it was switching between the system I was in and jita. even after a log off and wait 10 min then log back in.
