Content for 3-4 ppl (WH faming with fresh accounts?)

o/

Together with 2-3 friends we are looking for best suitable content which could benefit that we are playing together. I have quite good skills for all kind of sub-caps (2x chars with 50-60m SP). But my colleagues are brand new here.

Currently what we would like to try is farming WH. And here are main questions:

  • how to compose simple gang with what we have,
  • C2 is only option / is it possible to run C3?
  • 2-3x DPS + logi (which?)
  • or maybe Cruisers / BC on spider tank?

Thanks in advance for any kind of advice here.

Been a long time since I’ve gone w-hole diving which I always did solo…

So I can’t really offer any advice other than to start off with C1 and get familiar at working as a fleet before moving into higher level w-holes…

C3s as a cruiser group is entirely doable, easier if you have dedicated logi. Some BCs can solo C3 content, so if you ran them with a group of those it would be a cake walk.

Captain Benzie has a lot of videos analyzing the various ships used in Wormholes, I’d suggest watching a few of those to help you decide.

Thanks, i saw his videos. But he is focusing on soloing them. Building them on active tank. What i was considering is 3 DPS on pasive shield tank + dedicated LOGI (scythe / scimi).

What i would like to understand mainly is how to build logi for such purpose. Is it even possible in this game to have one “healer” per gang? Playing so long i was part of many fleets but there was either no logi if small nano gang or plenty of them if huge STRAT op.

3-4 Vexor Navy Issues can definitely spidertank C3. Given that the pilots have good RR and tanking skills of course.

But thats not really much DPS and if you have to share the profits… meh.

Why not simply use 3 Praxii with RapidHeavies+Drones? There are dirt-cheap Fits for absolute beginners that can solo-tank C3s, means 3 of them in one place will clear the sites very quickly, will have no tank issues and also offer a bit of protection, because attacking 3 battleships isn’t that easy for solo-hunters in a T3 for example.

You could even use the same 3 Battleships to roll-off some unwanted connections, as they offer high enough mass to close holes with only a few jumps.

Each person being able to solo the sites if something goes wrong gives you a much larger safety margin to learn them. If you want to bring dedicated logi, it just makes things easier for all, but your focus in wormholes should really be on getting the site done before someone lands on grid to shoot you, and that takes DPS not reps.

But, if you really want to do it the hard way, look into the Drake. You can put a lot of raw shield HP onto a drake, and shield reps hitting at the beginning of the cycle instead of the end will help your logi pilot get his role down.

Hi there

maybe you and your friends shold think about the Gila.

Cheap, fast and a simple passive fit.

Years ago we run C3-greensites within 10-15 minutes with 3-4 vessels

Took me a minute to figure you were talking about the time to run the site, because a Gila is many things, but fast is not one of them.

For the same money, you could buy a T2 Praxis with RHML that don’t need to watch out for webbing sleepers.

Imho i would start with a C2 with a static LS and maybe a static C3. C2 gives you some good starting combat sites to learn how waves work (trigger) and you would also have the additional ore/gas/hacking sites.

C3 sites aren’t that bad. Can be done in BCs and you could try 3 Harbinger plus 2 Guardians or 3 Drekavacs with spider tank. Also some sort of shield tank plus logi… depends on the wormhole effect you are in.

You need at least 2-4 chars that are capable of closing unwanted connections, at least 1 char that’ s able to haul bigger m3 and 1-2 chars for scanning/scouting. These chars don’t have to be different toons.

Good content for 3 players as I see it:

  1. C3 farming on 3x RHML Praxis - that is like 3k DPS even with Alpha skills. Sites will just evaporate. My advice here is to remember where each wave spawns in each site and then figure out how to warp in to a perfect spot. Best way IMHO is pre-scouting all available anomalies with a cloaked Astero (or a pod if you are alpha) and bookmark objects to warp to before starting to farm. With warping to 0 to each site you will have a few minutes of slowboating which increases time spend on grid (reduces farm and increases time for gankers to appear). It will be decent income, but after a few days this will become a routine.
  2. Abyss runs on 3 frigates. Cheap 50kk hawks can run t4-t5 sites which give decent ISK/h and also require intense piloting with different challenges each run. Less likely to become boring fast but also much less chill. Also no need to fly around much besides buying keys and selling loot. There are several other setups available - Hawks are just simpler and cheaper (and fast to train too).

On your questions:

  • 3x Praxis - 3x Dominix - 3x HAC - 3x Gnosis (can be with spider tank) - 3x Vedmaks, well even 3x Kiki will manage fine I think)
  • C3 is doable solo on Alpha char with 5kk SP so you will have 0 problems with PvE aspect
  • Dedicated logi is not really needed, unless you fly some very niche teams.
  • see above

C2s are not very good since DPS is already significant but payout is way less. Also I remember some C2 sites had spawns located far from each other, but maybe these were fixed (I think I’ve read some patch note on WH spawn changes)…

Well, the DPS might be significant.. but for WH freshies i can’t advise them into C3 or C4 and C1 isn’t worth it if you are farming it with more then 2 chars.

Sure, with some skills you can do C3 sites, but most times you will get rolled by C4+ and i wouldn’t advise it.
