SOONtm may not be a ship name BUT this word began in the early days of eve-way back before being on the CSM was the VIPfest it is today. I used that term to explain to corp and alliance mates how some issue or feature was on CCP’s radar but only the Space Gods knew when it would be fixed, implemented, and/or addressed. (my days as a member of CSM was meeting weekly in an ingame chat chan with Comm Manager and more rarely actual Devs-we didnt even get a Tshirt let alone paid trips to Iceland.)
Blasterax a low sec ratter in the early days and my favorite ship second only to the Blasterthron.
In your face PvP😉
Tristan.
Is there a more unique-looking ship in the game?
It’s also the only T1 frigate that truly operates as a drone boat, making it unique in that regard as well.
It not only supports a full flight of five drones, but has room for replacements/switch-out options in its drone bay.
I know that on my main, if I need a combat frigate I look to the Tristan first and it rarely lets me down.
On every alt I have? I wish that their faction had a frigate that was equal to the Tristan.
The Friend Ship Room
This is the best ship in New Eden, isn’t it? So, you must have room named with it’s name!
ATRON
I love this ship. It is also the name of the God of War
Vargur
She was the 3rd of the three gunship marauders I trained my two main toons into over the past several years, but only because I had more Amarr/Gallente gunnery and ship skills so they were quicker trains. I now have two pairs (one for missions, one for incursions). The Vargur tech 2 shield resist profile is so epic with the EM hole filled nicely. AND… there is simply the vertical supremacy. Gorgeous with the Chainbreaker skin on.
Hecate
As a diplomat, I’ve learned that words can be very powerful. They can supply war caches, create prosperity, unite (or destroy) alliances and corporations, negotiate deals, or even get you out of a would-be gank.
But sometimes, words are unnecessary.
The Hecate is the antithesis to the diplomat life, and so has quickly become my solo ship of choice. Fit for maximum damage (and maximum hope), with nothing but the honorable hull tank — the Hecate lets the blasters do all the talking.
There’s nothing more satisfying than overheating everything and ramming into a cruiser, locking them down, strong-arming their rep, and obliterating them in seconds. No time to call for backup, no time to negotiate, words will do you no good.
Loki - Sleipnir - Naglfar - Ragnarok
In every story of the Nordic Gods, Loki plays a major role who at the same time is the mother (when he assumed mare form) of Sleipnir, Odin’s eight legged horse. Loki is also one of the main causes for Ragnarok, where hordes being shipped with Naglfar to battle the gods. Loki in a way has a big part in the beginning and the end. In the game as well as mythology Loki is most flexible and can assume different forms and roles.
Rifter
It was the first ship I worked toward in this game many years ago, I was so excited when the countless hours of selling veldspar in my rookie ship and not falling to can baiting in Ammold. I felt powerful and unstoppable as I undocked to face eve in my new ship…then promptly died when I took a bait can and got my face kicked in by a vexor about 5 mins after undocking.
Gila
The reason I am choosing the Gila is because personally, I find it to be an amazing ship for PvE in eve online. I personally use it all the time for abyssal deadspace and intend to soon fuel some solo PvP adventures with money made by using it. As a drone/missile hybrid ship it can make use of both weapon types to avoid being hard-countered by any specific enemy. It has a very large drone bay which makes it particularly versatile for when you might want to have multiple drones of various types, whereas many drone boats don’t carry much more drone capacity than their bandwidth. It will also be hilarious when nobody at CCP can agree on how to pronounce it lol.
Raven
My first waking moments in New Eden - 7 years ago - were spent in Lonetrek, doing level 3 and 4 combat missions in our beloved Drake. I had always coveted the Raven! The big boy boat! but, to the advice of my corp-mates, I never bought one as I wouldn’t be able to fly it. I dreamt of flying the majestic Raven, or better yet, the navy version - but my wallet and skills never allowed for it.
Seven years later, I invented a fitting that let me run the ultimate missions - level 5s - using a Raven. I had surpassed my old corpmates. I had surpassed everyone, even the marauder pilots! The cycle was complete! I finally had my Raven, and i was making BANK! Enough bank to whelp many, many ships to lowsec FW gangs! My time in EVE had ascended! I finally had true freedom, all thanks to the humble Raven, which I had my eyes on since day one.
Thus, the Raven Initiative received it’s name.

Ah, looks like I went over the word limit. I hope my story makes it worth it, there’s no cutting corners here!
Chameleon
“Some capsuleers claim that ECM is ‘dishonorable’ and ‘unfair’.
Jam those ones first, and kill them last.”
- Jirai ‘Fatal’ Laitanen, Pithum Nullifier Training Manual c. YC104
Hyperion.
It looks and sounds cool.
It fights well and can live through a lot of damage.
It’s a beast.
Can’t go wrong with Hyperion.
Was my first battleship I went for.
Looks alien like indeed.
Sunesis
The sunesis is a nice destroyer class ship that is versatile as ever. and it looks small. YET! It can store so much in it. So Sunesis would be ideal to a meeting room that’s hidden away. looks small at 1st but is actually big and spacious inside
Ship: Nestor
Reason: Relatively new to the ship so I can’t really say a specific experience beside this; As a returning player after many years of hiatus, I wanted to fly something that offered a semi new experience and this ship achieves it with some serious class, and sex appeal. Awesome Drone buffs, still an armor tank, and a new type of weapon that I never used before… btw, loving beam lasers in my return.
Leopard Fastest Shuttle for small updates?? I was thinking or use it for what ever you choose. As in PArty room hehehe o/
Ship: Proteus
Reason: Freedom is liquid, supple, mellifluous. It surrounds us, engulfs our bodies, drowns our fear. We plumb freedom’s depths and consume the nourishment within. From these waters, we are born; when we die, we shall return to those waters.
Out there, among the stars, are the waters, freedom incarnate. That dark, endless void is our destiny, our path, our goal. We must not fear it, nor should we control it. Rather, we should embrace it, trust it, love it. Its ever-changing face, its protean existence, is our very essence. We are those stars, the void, the awesome waters of space: ancient, forever, free.
Venture
The Venture is the fundamental bedrock of all mining in EVE. It is your first real mining ship and it will take you to your future in mining. Weather you are a casual or a pro miner, the Venture accommodates your needs while it brings you face to face with the hard choices that limited options bring. This iconic ship will go with you wherever in EVE you choose and will not let you down while you respect its abilities. The economy of EVE and your financial success begins with your first Venture. Last but not least, it is aptly named as you partner up in your adventure through EVE. The Venture.
Vagabond
The vaga was my favourite ship for a long time. From 2008 to 2010 I flew little else, roaming Null and killing belt-ratting ravens to provoke fights from the locals.
After the nano nerf, everyone lamented, but since I never fitted mine for speed anyway, a wee tweak and my 600dps monster gave many a people a fright. This summed up EVE for me. At the time, just as AOD Titan DDs were rolling in, I managed to maintain the top solo killer in eve for many months, until Shadoo’s Levi finally knocked me off - all thanks to this beautiful ship.
Again, the ship was changed and some naysayers couldn’t see the potential, but once again the ship soon found it’s power and I love it just as much, but for different reasons.
I feel the Vaga, the gameplay it’s allowed, it’s undeniable style, the nomadic life, and it’s changes through the years are Eve in a nutshell, and will always be the ship I think of.
