nope they have to give them back essentially, never give shares of your corp out to anyone for any reason
Shares are generally useless except for getting couped and having all your ■■■■ stolen. Give them out at your own peril.
(to clarify: useless for the share distributor, not the recipient)
Move all your assets out of the corp, empty the wallets and close the corp. Create a new corp and keep control of your new shares.
If you have offices, empty those first and close the offices.
