Corporation Projects got an update with this Patch yes, but it missed a lot of needed improvements in my Opinion. Yeha the PvP specification stuff is funny but what we really need are the following things.
Let me ask for more then ONE Item in a Delivery Project.
Make it so that we can ask for EverMarks.
Make it so that we can ask for ISK in a Delivery Project or make a Subsection “Fundraising”
My issue with corp projects is not even just that the projects only work on ISK, or that there are activities missing from them, but rather that they dont keep track of what you have already done.
For example, “scan signatures of certain kind”, lets say, you want to scan wormholes in your home wormhole system, and you want people to be inclined to do it, so u make a project to scan wormholes in your system, except now, when you relog, your scans have reset, so you can scan them again, and you can repeat this infinitely until the project has run dry of funding (log-in → scan → bookmark → log off → log-in again → scan the bookmarks → repeat the last 3 steps)
And this isnt even the only project type that has issues, mining projects are actually delivery projects. For example, you make a project to mine, idk, Veldspar, ppl mine it, they get isk for it, then they go sell it, the profit is on the individual, not the corp, so if you want the Veldspar to remain in the corp, you have to make a delivery project, ppl mine it, deliver it, they get profit, the corp gets the ore.
There are many more examples of this in the corp projects, it really feels like it wasnt thought through much, and its a shame, cuz its an awesome feature.
From this alone i can see you’re not really thinking to deeply about the intent behind differant projects.
For example the delivery project is useful for ore buy back. However the mining project is good for mining fleets.
Seeing as you clearly have trust issues with your corp place your members in hulks and don’t let them compress. They will be forced to jet their ore as they mine it while the corp auto pays them for what they mined.
A lot of the other projects are also not for the benefit of the corp but it’s members. For instance the scanning one. You put a small amount of isk per scan, add a cap per member and just use it as a way to help reward newer players for doing the activity.
A lot of them do not systemically protect from being abused but that’s fine, it allows them to be far more open and dynamic to however your corp wants to use them. It’s on your leadership to keep an eye out and make sure you’re not being scammed. This is a far better alternative to extremely restrictive projects.
Some added measures would be fine. Like you suggested tracking if x sig id was already scanned in y system between z dates
