I did a stint in the US Army National Guard while I was a Deputy Sheriff and spent some time on our Southern Border. But no, I was not on active duty while I was an LEO.
I waited a long time to apply for VA benefits.

Completely off topic here, but have they changed your MOS designation since you left too? When I was in, I was a 91B, when I was talking to the VA lately those are all gone. They changed all the medical MOSs to 66 series, or 61 or something totally different. The new guys didnāt know what the hell the 91 series were anymore, they though I was crazy. I donāt know if thatās just a medical field thing or if they shuffled everyone.

They changed a bunch of them but a 19K is still a 19K.
Yeah it seems like the lower ones stayed put, the more combat arms ones. I donāt know why they felt the need to shuffle any, I gave up predicting that organization awhile ago.

At least that blog site is EVE-related.
Thread probably was locked because it derailed into a flamewar about topics completely unrelated to EVE, such as discussions about peopleās army past or the role of army and police in society, other RL politics, etc.
This kind of crap is why threads get locked.
