Taking several ships out from your gank fleet before concord even shows isn’t a failure , not much we could do with DPS against the numbers in the fleet but we will always try.

Gank failure is subjective.
The fun of organising multibox attacks or rounding up friends for some pvp action is already a win.
Learning how to pvp in hi sec and overcoming challenges of concord etc , leading to better understanding of Ship and game mechanics- that’s a win
Creating income through pvp isk-wise… another win
Whether the intended target goes down or not, it’s subjective as to whether ganker views it a fail…
Ships lost - not a win or loss… just overhead…the ships are considered consumables and not assets
Ships should be considered consumables no matter what the game activity is. They are tools, and tools break.
If more people took this approach, there would be less salt mining. They would shrug it off as a “meh” and go get another drill bit.

Oh I totally agree, we all pick sides , and I hope have fun playing in the side you choose. We certainly do .
We all take part in legitimate game play that’s not in doubt.
We all then decide how we conduct ourselves within the game , how we treat other players and there we have it , so the different groups form and fight for how they want to play.
I support the game mechanics of ganking , just not how some play
When I was like 12 or 13 years old, I was playing Diablo 2, and that was like my first foray into PC multiplayer gaming, along with Counter-Strike, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, and Battlefield 1942. I was getting into trading, but you know, I was still a kid. And one time I got caught in a scam, the “go here and download this to get that” kind. So I did, and it was a keylogger, and my account got stolen, and my browser homepage was changed to goatse. I took a step back and kind of reevaluated how I got to that point, and after that, I never again fell for any sort of scam ever.
So when I see adults getting bamboozled like this, and not just once but being repeat customers, I have a really difficult time wrapping my mind around what goes on in these people’s heads for them to function on such a level. I don’t consider myself particularly smart or anything, but watching these people reminds me of watching a cow walk into an electric fence, then five minutes later forget what that fence does and do it again.
Gix why do you repeat this line so much . I don’t know what else to call myself, I’m not in control of my corp , we all come up with ways to make eve entertaining, so I suggest things to do and we try them and have some fun it’s putting them into practice
