If it acts like a snake and talks like a snake, it’s probably a snake. If you don’t like being called a snake then perhaps don’t do things irl and ingame that make you sound and act like one.
I’ve never done anything in game or IRL that would lead anybody to this conclusion. I wish you guys would stop making things up about me.
I have been defending myself, that’s it. You guys can believe whatever you want to believe about our political system. I’m certainly not going to change your minds on it, nor do I really care to.
Well then, I find myself in the rare position of being able to provide somebody with useful feedback - you are coming across as defending the system, not yourself.
All anyone has to do is scroll up to see this is a lie.
If they scroll up, they will see me defending myself, as a politician, against the charges you guys have been slinging around about “every” politician. I think I said, maybe twice, that our system is no worse than any other. Not really a defense.
A very watered down version of American exceptionalism. It would be like saying that the US public transit system is “no worse than any other” - obviously the US system is worse than others!!
Scroll up and you’ll know what you said. Or don’t. It’s up to you.
Our system works for us, for the most part. It has it’s flaws. It probably wouldn’t work anywhere else. But when it comes to things like corruption, our system is better than many, maybe worse than a few - I only studied comparative politics for a couple of years, so I’m not an expert on it. But at least when I google it, I find we’re in the top 25 cleanest countries in terms of perceptions of corruption, our of almost 200.
In the end, I don’t think you’re going to find a really fair way to compare political systems to determine if one is “better” or “worse” than another - whatever metrics you choose are going to get attacked by others as being biased.
I did. I said twice that our system was no worse than any other.
Necessary, no. Correct, yes.
But your system is way worse than many.
The concept of having a job based on merit is compeletely alien to him.
Best just let it drop.
Edit: Lying and scheming are not merits suitable to good governance.
You also said it wasn’t as corrupt. Which means you are admitting it is corrupt. Just not as corrupt.
Not exactly a ringing endorsement.
You’re right. Better to let it drop.
Where have I ever said anything that would remotely lead you to believe this? Every job should be on merit. But we know that’s not how it always works.
Every system has corruption. I said it wasn’t as corrupt as you guys think it is. There’s a difference.
You are certainly entitled to your own opinion. I say it is absolutely as corrupt as I think it is. If not more so.
How do you know? You have no experience with it.
Okay, Kreskin.
If I’m wrong, feel free to correct me.
