Daily Alpha Skill Injector

There is a cooldown of 24 hours of you plan to use multiple injectors.
This way the moment you inject will get later and later (by minutes/hours) until you inevitably skip a day due to real life (and by not being a robot).
A 23-hour cooldown would be more user-friendly so you can “catch up” a possible delay.

What are your methods to circumvent this issue?

Kind regards

Pre-plan your injections

i.e. work out when your IRL stuff is most likely and least likely to infract upon gameplay.

Then do your injection there.

Set timers on your phone to count down (this is how I deal with cerebral accelerators if I don’t want gaps)

I agree, a 22 or 23 hour cooldown would be more user-friendly.

No need for any ‘cooldowns’ at all. If CCP wants to limit the use, they can limit it by allowing exactly one injector per numerical day. Anytime u use one, next ones are blocked from using, resets every downtime.

That’s also an option, but has a couple of downsides:

First, it allows players who can play aroubd downtime to activate two injectors once every two says (one before and one after downtime) rather than the once-a-day design. But that’s a minor issue.

A bigger issue is that you then tie another mechnic to downtime by design while CCP is moving away from that desogn with the goal to eventually remove daily downtime entirely.

A ‘less than 24 hour cooldown’ would be the better design in my opinion.

It doesn’t have to be tied to DT. It can be tied to EVE time. Once the hours changes to 00:00 it is new day and you could use another one.

That being said, they added quite a lot of new stuff dependent on DT since the last time they tried to get rid of DT so I doubt that DT removal is planned anymore.

And even if it would b, changing this mechanic is a 5 minute job. In spite of that, I don’t think your argument “but f they implement it this way they would have to change it again in distant future when they do that” is relevant.

As for using 2 injectors in 30-60min timespan, I don’t see where is problem with that. That is still one per day, but more user friendly because it doesn’t force you to login for one day.

Whine more about how your free sh*t is delivered to you?

Don’t like it, pay for Omega.

That is not the case here, just like it wasn’t case in other thread. Looks like you are just a troll after all.

I’m not opposed to a 23-hour cooldown, so it gets my vote (not that TPTB are listening).

Alpha injectors are not ‘free sh*t’ though, it’s a paid service in between free Alpha gameplay and an Omega subscription, allowing Alpha players to pay to progress past 5 million SP:

It would be good if CCP made this paid service more player friendly.

Anything Alpha related is defined as “free sh*t”

Just because you imagine you’re getting a deal because you’re only paying half the price of Omega doesn’t change that.

Again, want faster SP, buy Omega.

Its still not free. No different than buying a large skill injector. They either buy it with isk or with real money/plex.

I do however like the original way they implemented the injectors over now.

Alpha injectors are the only injectors that aren’t filled ingame but are sourced from the NES. They source of Alpha injectors is literally ‘paid with real money’.

How you go to ‘free sh*t’ from there baffles me. And even if it were free, it’s still more user-friendly and an improvement to move that 24h cooldown to 23 hours.

I used to just have a iPhone ‘shortcut’ set to open EVE portal on my phone. Hopefully, they get a new app out soon that can inject and trade again.

Theres neocom and another one for ios. Doubt theyll let any 3rd party do what eve portal did

Same issue we had with jump clones and the 24-hour cooldown.

NO, the solution is not to add a skill that forces every Alpha character to waste SP on buying and training.

Skill is not logical when it is something only alphas can use.

I don’t see why they would limit Alpha injectors to once daily in the first place. If someone wants to spend untold amounts of cash on them, more power to them. Just more money for CCP.

Probably because they could just as easily upgrade to Omega and then spend untold amounts…
