@iBAD9eR welcome to the forum,
High security gankers can only exist when you feed them, just like trolls. Make it a point to never enter Jita with a payload that is worth the national debt. I really hate to explain how suicide ganking works but the more new people know… well knowledge is power;
Methodology for Suicide Gankers
Set up a watcher at the gate, in something equiped with passive scanning and cargo scanning. This vessel should be slowly drifting towards or away from the gate looking like it is deciding where to go next. They scan the payloads of ships entering Jita from that gate and report to the suicide ganker on the other side.
The suicide ganker(s) have less than 30 seconds to blow the ship. Working like a bank heist they need a solid plan for this to profit them. Now they know the path the ship takes from the gate to the trade hub, disrupting it in warp with smart bombs they can destroyed the hauler and it drops some but not all of the cargo.
The suicide ganker(s) ships get destroyed by the space police, and the next wave a team of salvagers swoop in to loot the debris field. This is about as complicated as it gets.
Analysis of this Method
How do we avoid suicide gankers in HS? When carrying a large payload, don’t blindly jump into Jita. Warp to gate first and have a look around for suspect watchers on the gate. It might prove beneficial to do this for secondary trade hubs like Perimeter. While they can passive scan your cargo, there is still a graphical tell in the 3D, Assuming you have all the 3D effects active you should see a scan of your ship from theirs.
Now let’s assume you either ignored all that or must dock at the Jita trade hub to sell your 500 million ISK cargo. BEFORE shipping into Jita set a safe bookmark not in direct align with the target dock.
This will avoid any traps placed in direct alignment to the dock.
Successfully getting your cargo from point A to B depends more upon your actions, less upon automated features within the game. Don’t use auto pathing or auto pilot, and never assume you are in the clear just because you are in high security systems. Knowing how they work, is the best way to avoid them.
Have fun!
