Hi BJK!

Your member Kanaad mentioned to best reach out to you for diplomatic contact.

I am writing on behalf of Neural Nexus, a budding corporation in EVE Online with a unique blend of seasoned veterans and eager newcomers. We aim to combine human ingenuity with AI-guided decision-making. We have been impressed by your achievements and the foothold you’ve established in Curse.

DECOY THREATENED BY ARCHANGELS

At 2023.11.09 10:44, Archangels issued a direct threat to our Public Astrahus on grid with the Zarzakh Gate; stating they are ready to take action if we do not being the unanchor within 24h.

https://www.eveonline.com/news/view/breaking-ancient-jovian-stargates-discovered
When the Zarzakh “Delta” gate was discovered in August, DECOY rushed to place a safe observatory the same day for all capsuleers to witness. We have no plans to remove this infrastructure, and extend an invitation for you to show us what you’re capable of.

As a precaution; DECOY has removed both Archangels and Deathless Custodians from our public tether and will not be allowed to dock in our structures in the system of G-0Q86.

See you tomorrow.

!WARNING

The Astrahus-class structure designated "G-0Q86 - DELTA OBSERVATORY PUBLIC TETHER", currently anchored in the system of G-0Q86 at spatial co-ordinates [-808530774749.0, -652546109128.0, -334839189030.0] and located in proximity to the G-0Q86-Zarzakh stargate, is to undergo decommissioning within 24 hours of this message or the Angel Cartel will take action to remove it.

The Angel Cartel and the Deathless Circle will tolerate no interference with access to Zarzakh in their common spheres of influence. Be on notice that Archangels forces will be ready to take any action to enforce our claims and preserve operational security with the full backing of the Deathless Circle. Our allies and supporters stand ready to assist.

24H WARNING EXPIRED - ANGEL CARTEL WAS A NO-SHOW

Following their threats to DECOY, The Angel Cartel’s 24h warning concluded with a no-show from the pirates - despite over 75 pilots in attendance in system.

DECOY is still curious to see the extent of what The Deathless & The Angel Cartel will bring to the invitation - we await the CCP Stream at 14:00 Eve Time.

Failing that; our structure becomes vulnerable on Monday.

CCP, you better not be just deleting the astra during downtime…

This is sad, so far.

CCP - Archangels offered capsuleers to join in, I really hope you guys make it happen!

G-0Q86 ASTRAHUS DOWN

The Angel Cartel returned today and destroyed the Astrahus in G-0Q86. Unfortunately, The Deathless did not attend with any of their technology; just a LOT of Machariels.

Outnumbered 7:1, DECOY still formed a Tornado and Harpy fleet to contest; punching down around 30 targets.

Gf, see you in Zarzakh tomorrow!

Keeping the thread alive; plenty of activity still being had down in Curse :sunglasses:

DECOY joins the Pandemic Family!

When we setup DECOY in June 2023, we wanted no blues. We fought for everything we had until we took more than we needed.

8 months later, we are in a position that excluding ourselves from a coalition hinders our potential. We have a lot to offer, and our friends in Horde are offering us the opportunity to explore this. I am very excited to have our team welcomed into the Pandemic Family!

We will continue to stage from G-0Q86 in Curse and supporting the Pandemic Horde frontline operations.

South Eastern Agreement

The SEA was a fantastic gateway to allow smaller groups to claim a portion of Nullsec for themselves. A lot of teams rose and fell, most notably:

  • UA Fleets
  • Cosatkas Universe Space
  • Arkhos Core
  • Impulse-Control
  • Filthy Space Monkeys
  • Forsaken Remnant
  • Forsaken Empire
  • SL0W CHILDREN AT PLAY
  • Disavowed Legion
  • Asymmetric Warfare
  • House Raiding Comms
  • Warriors of the Blood God
  • cloth Successor Uniom Alliance
  • Bitter Old Vets
  • Southern Star Syndicate
  • Gesheft protocol
  • Hard Commit
  • Obsidian Trade Federation
  • Regnum Astera
  • Talagari Cartel
  • BawsDeep
  • Beyond the understanding of human behaviour
  • Many, MANY more

Some groups setup sovreignty and didn’t maintain it, some simply faded, some stretched themselves too thin, but none collaborated and committed.

Our observation was that each group that came down had such a strong desire to stay unique and build their own empire, they failed to work with others and ultimately got defeated by a slightly larger team. A lot of groups lost their homes to “casual deployment groups” who would temporarily setup in NPC space, wipe out a group + loot their cores, then leave.

This was very nearly the case for DECOY. We watched several groups closer to us lose their Azbels, Tatara and Fortizars - but we intentionally stayed small committing just Athanors/Astrahus, meaning we went under the radar from these attacks.

This level of risk-adversity has allowed us to remain stable, but at the cost of a less exciting game.

The SEA prevented major blocs from claiming more regions - but the nature of EVE did not allow newer groups to thrive. This was not the experience these teams were expecting, and as such, this experiment proves that the blocs aren’t hindering ambition.

The current residents of Scalding Pass are doing a much finer job and have united a lot of alliances under their flag - DECOY will be happily supporting them moving forwards.

EVE Online is all about collaboration. Our entrance to Panfam will give us a larger network of friends, but we will inherit a collection of enemies too. This new state of DECOY will bring us plenty of conflict - and we’re all exciting for the future.

One sec im chilling with jynx at fanfest the next im blueing with horde and friends. Im down , lets shoot some goons I guess?

Well that’s about the single biggest 180 you can have in this game. No blues! All the blues!

It was a pretty big change of stance!! We reached a point that not having blues denied us content, and that’s so important for the health of a team!

THE INITIATIVE DEPLOY AGAINST DECOY

Yes, that’s correct. 17,426 pilot alliance The Initiative has deployed to G-0Q86 and destroyed the home of 353 pilot alliance DECOY. Our freeport Fortizar was a great hub for our friends in the Angel Cartel (plus neutrals from Curse!), but our alliegance with the Pandemic Family has secured its demise.

image

This Fortizar is not a strategic staging point for Pandemic Horde. Horde currently has their own Fortizar in the G-0Q86, alongside a Keepstar forward-deployed in F4R2-Q. This feels like a content deployment that won’t truly achieve anything strategic.

DECOY is regrouping in Scalding Pass. We will use this time to secure pilot income - and eventually, return to our home.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. This is a lesson for every other alliance in EVE: join PanFam and die.

AAR - 2024-03-14 00:30

On 11th March, The Initiative brought 100+ Retributions to reinforce all of our sovereignty in bridge range of G-0Q86. On 13th March, we prepared for an evening fight. Knowing we would get massively outformed again; we asked our new friends in PanFam to come and help us out, and INIT fell for the trap.

We prepared entosis across the constellation and captured 4 of the required 7 nodes before INIT turned up. Feeling panicked; hostiles rushed into one of our systems - where PanFam counter-dropped Barghests and Sleipnirs.

Once PanFam pushed them away, The Imperium limped back towards G-0Q86 and DECOY continued entosis work, and killing hostile entosis. A few INIT pilots were tunnel visioned into fighting us, and were baited into attacking the WFFE ihub, which we also saved.

Once INIT fully stood down, DECOY continued to take the N3-JBX TCU - capturing more sovereignty in range of INIT.

I see! PanFam won a minor skirmish. The day was a heroic victory.

Just don’t ask too many questions about what happened a few hours before…
